About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on creative genius who lives and breathes great work. This is a maker's role—someone who leads by doing, not just directing. You'll drive creative excellence across video, still, and integrated campaigns, balancing fresh, edgy thinking with solid fundamentals that win and keep major clients.

You'll lead creative development from concept through execution, craft award-worthy work that's both innovative and strategically sound, and drive new business through compelling creative vision and presentations. This means collaborating directly with clients on creative strategy and execution, mentoring our growing creative team while staying in the work, and participating in on-site shoots and client meetings as needed.

We need someone with 7+ years of progressive agency or production experience (brand-side experience a plus) with a focus on beauty, luxury, and fashion; additional experience in retail, consumer tech, food & beverage, or automotive a plus. Your portfolio showcases both edgy creativity and strategic thinking across multiple platforms. You're local to NYC, thrive in fast-paced environments, and bring the energy to work the way we do.

This is a hybrid role: 3 days/week in our NYC office with flexibility for on-site shoots and client meetings.

Requirements

Experience & Portfolio

  • 7+ years in agency or production environments; brand-side experience a plus
  • Experience in beauty, luxury, and fashion; additional experience in retail, consumer tech, food & beverage, or automotive a plus
  • Award-winning work across digital, traditional, experiential, and emerging media
  • Deep expertise in brand strategy, consumer insights, and creative effectiveness

Leadership & Team

  • Lead and develop creative teams (5+ people) by example
  • Experience managing freelance networks and creative production resources
  • Strong understanding of production workflows and resource management

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro)
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and composition
  • Knowledge of video production and post-production workflows
  • Familiarity with emerging creative tools and platforms, including AI-powered creative tools

Business Acumen

  • Proven ability to win competitive pitches and retain major clients
  • Experience contributing to agency growth and profitability
  • Balance creative vision with client objectives and production economics

Presence & Communication

  • Exceptional presentation skills that inspire clients and teams
  • High energy, collaborative work style
  • Local to NYC, available for fast-paced in-office collaboration
  • Cultural fluency across traditional and digital creative landscapes

Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this role is $165,000 - $190,000 annually. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.

This is a hybrid role requiring flexibility to work in-office and remotely. Evening or weekend work may occasionally be required during major projects.

We offer a competitive benefits package including major medical, dental and vision insurance, FSA, HSA, and employee discounts.
