Job Summary

The Creative & Creator team is responsible for the output of content we create for our brand partners. Combining creator/influencer practices and creative practices allows us to imprint community-driven creativity into every post, partnership, campaign or video we create. 

The role of the Creative Producer within Blue Hour Studios is to deploy multidisciplinary creative skills to help concept and then execute social video, static and design projects across multiple formats for the brands we partner with. This person is a constant social consumer, and obsessed with all things online. They will understand how brands can connect with their audiences on social and beyond. 

This person will lead creative execution across formats, while contributing to ideation and concepting for both always-on content, big idea thinking and new business proposals. This role reports into a Sr. Creative Producer, and works closely in collaboration with them to ensure quality of all creative execution.

As a Creative Producer, you will…

  • Production of all forms of social content including organic and paid short and long-form video and design content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and more.

  • Content capturing in the form of short-form videos, long-form videos and photography including hands-on filming or the management of content capture by freelancers or junior staff. 

  • Post-production, including editing of short-form and long-form videos with a clear narrative and engaging visual language that translates brand objectives into culturally relevant content that fits their brand tone while ensuring alignment with approved concepts.

  • Project management of various creative projects from concept to execution, keeping all parties up to date and making sure timelines and budgets stay on track

  • Foster collaborative relationships with freelancers, various creative vendors, clients and internal teams while remaining empathetic and open to feedback, finding smart solutions to support your creative vision

  • Contribute to creative brainstorm sessions for content and new business opportunities

  • Assist in the creation of engaging, client-ready creative concept and pre-production decks to sell through approved ideas to clients that translate brand objectives into culturally relevant creative concepts that fit brand tone and ensure alignment with client KPIs. 

  • Develop the ability to independently lead and manage creative production for multiple client accounts while collaborating effectively with the Creative Director and other leadership.

  • Manage multiple deliverables simultaneously to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment 

  • Oversee the development of creator and influencer briefs and briefing sessions that serve as detailed guidelines for other creators & influencers, then provide creative, actionable feedback on creator and influencer concepts and content. 

  • Mentor and manage junior employees through close collaboration, ensuring they elevate creative work while meeting client expectations and deadlines 

  • Serve as talent in self-shot or in-house produced content as needed, in a professional and charismatic manner

  • Have robust comprehension of social platforms (like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, Twitch, Snapchat, etc.), their constantly changing algorithms, the ways in which audiences are using or hacking them and creating online communities.

  • Cultivate broad understanding of the ecosystem of brand marketing strategies beyond social and digital. 

  • Contribute to the evolution of Blue Hour Studios, contributing to our style, voice and brand ensuring we’re leaders in the industry. 

  • Comfortability completing and assigning basic administrative tasks with equal balance to creative executions

  • Ditch the ego and lead with curiosity. Ask questions, demonstrate a constant desire to learn, remain open to new ways of thinking and unpopular opinions.


Supervisory Responsibilities  

The Creative Producer could manage more junior members of the Creative team. 

Preferred Skills & Experience 

  • 3+ years of experience in a creative production role at a social advertising agency, brand or publisher

  • Strong portfolio featuring a social-first approach to branded content creative inclusive of paid and influencer content

  • Vast experience filming with iPhone, DSLR and/or mirrorless cameras, as well as basic lighting and sound equipment.

  • Experience managing all aspects of social video production, from pre-production planning to final delivery.

  • Proficiency with editing and creative tools, including Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) CapCut and in-app tools

  • Experience with presentation and slide design in Google Slides, PowerPoint and Keynote

  • Experienced client presenter and vendor communicator 

  • Possess a strong attention to detail with the ability to create visually compelling content.

  • Multitasking capabilities and an incredibly collaborative nature 

  • Adaptable and proactive, able to pivot quickly and stay ahead of trends and social media shifts

Physical Activity and Work Environment 

  • Position will involve light physical activity pertaining to photo and video production. This includes lifting tripods, gear, props or assistant producing.

Salary Range

$64,350.00 - $90,000.00

A successful applicant’s actual base salary may vary based on factors such as individual’s skill sets, experience, training, education,  licensure/certifications, and qualifications for the role.  As an organization, we take an aptitude and competency-based hiring approach.  We provide a competitive total rewards package including a discretionary bonus and a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, company paid holidays and unlimited paid time off (PTO), mental health and wellness resources, pet insurance, childcare resources, identity theft insurance, fertility assistance programs, and fitness reimbursement.
