Hinge is the dating app designed to be deleted
In today's digital world, finding genuine relationships is tougher than ever. At Hinge, we’re on a mission to inspire intimate connection to create a less lonely world. We’re obsessed with understanding our users’ behaviors to help them find love, and our success is defined by one simple metric– setting up great dates. With tens of millions of users across the globe, we’ve become the most trusted way to find a relationship, for all.
About the Role:
Hinge is looking for a Creator Marketing Intern to support a project-based initiative within our Creator Marketing team. This role will focus on auditing the broader cultural landscape of the creator economy, with an emphasis on how dating and lifestyle/ tech brands are creatively engaging Gen Z and millennials across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Substack and more.
This intern will help pilot our first formal creator marketing audit — a foundational initiative that will inform Hinge’s creator marketing strategy and how we show up in culturally relevant spaces through creator partnerships. This is a great opportunity for a curious, trend-savvy storyteller with a passion for internet culture, digital content, and emerging social platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct a cultural and competitive audit of creator-led marketing campaigns, examining both direct competitors and culturally relevant tech and lifestyle brands.
- Identify and analyze platform-native behaviors, storytelling formats, and creator archetypes that resonate with Gen Z and young millennials.
- Research experimental and emerging brand tactics across social platforms, while considering ways to bring this to life for Hinge (considering we are a brand that is dark on organic social) — including creator co-creation, meme formats, comment section strategy, and lo-fi content trends.
- Capture how brands are using creator partnerships and community insights to build emotional resonance and long-term brand affinity.
- Synthesize findings into a visual insights report with campaign examples, strategic patterns, and thought-starters to inform Hinge’s creator marketing and strategic direction.
- Collaborate closely with the Creator Marketing team to ensure insights are grounded in Hinge’s brand voice and differentiated value in the dating category.
- Scope out the project, timeline, and key deliverables to ensure a clear, strategic foundation for the work ahead.
What We're Looking For:
- Current undergraduate pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Cultural Studies, Media, or a related field
- Passion for internet culture, creators, and how brands earn attention online
- Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Substack, and emerging media platforms
- Strong visual communication skills, comfortable turning insights into clear presentations
- Curiosity, creativity, and a sharp eye for trends and patterns
- Eagerness to learn from a team deeply focused on brand relevance and connection
- You’re a proactive thinker who loves asking: "What are we missing?" or "How can we make this more relevant?"
At Hinge, our core values are…
Authenticity: We share, never hide, our words, actions and intentions.
Courage: We embrace lofty goals and tough challenges.
Empathy: We deeply consider the perspective of others.
