About the Position

We’re looking for a Credit Financing Specialist to support and develop Jane Street’s US corporate bond financing capabilities. To thrive in this role, you’ll need prior experience in corporate bond financing and securities lending at a bank or buy-side firm and meaningful external relationships with corporate bond financing counterparties.

You can expect to work with a broad range of internal teams to understand and manage the various constraints of a quantitative trading firm. The role offers the opportunity to execute real-time financing decisions and improve our long-term corporate bond financing strategy.

Additional responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Working closely with trading desks and infrastructure teams to optimize the financing and securities lending terms of our credit portfolio
  • Managing and developing relationships with new and existing external funding counterparties
  • Being a reliable subject matter expert in the financing markets for investment-grade, high-yield, and convertible corporate bonds
  • Helping to form our long-term financing strategy by improving and expanding our financing activity and capacity
  • Working with all groups within our Finance department to find robust solutions to strategic and tactical problems
  • Learning about and supporting other products, financing structures, and trading desks within Jane Street
About You
  • Have 3-7 years of relevant financing experience at a bank or buy-side firm and a deep understanding of US corporate bond financing and securities lending markets
  • Excited and able to cultivate relationships with external financing counterparties
  • Have strong analytical skills and experience performing technical data analysis to solve problems
  • Intellectually curious and motivated to learn about new products, funding trade types, and strategies
  • An effective communicator who works well in a team environment
  • Fluency in Python, SQL, or other programming languages is a strong plus
