Your Responsibilities:• Lead the development, implementation, execution, and communication of the pursuit strategy for a dedicated product group (e.g., Exterior, Interior) and defined market/customer segment.• Ensure alignment between the customer/market pursuit strategy and the product portfolio, customer strategy, and overall business plan. Identify gaps between customer technology roadmaps and the existing product portfolio, and drive decisions to close those gaps.• Monitor market trends, key customer requirements, potential target vehicle platforms, and other relevant factors to identify the right pursuit targets for new business. Contribute to building a consolidated global market understanding. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders to ensure close alignment on technology roadmaps, requirements, and strategic priorities.• Lead the prioritization of pursuits for target markets and products, ensuring product portfolio readiness for quoting. Maximize new business opportunities within the organization's resource and capability framework.• Set the strategic direction for customer proposals and quotations within the target market and product line. Align product roadmaps with Magna's product line
objectives, ensuring customer proposals support strategic goals. Collaborate with engineering to define the strongest technical proposal for each pursuit.• Lead the Magna Pursuit Model (MPM) for all RFI and RFQ responses within the target market for the respective product group (Exterior/Interior). (Order wording adjusted only.)• Gather market and competitor intelligence directly from customer interactions and support Product Management with relevant market research. Translate customer needs into new product performance objectives and act as a key partner and solution provider to help customers enhance their business.• Collaborate closely with Product Management, Business Development, and Sales to ensure strong and effective deployment of the Camera pursuit strategy.• Work with Product Management and Advanced Engineering to provide input and targets for Magna's Product Roadmap, including new technologies, product concepts, intellectual property considerations, feasibility assessments, technical requirements, development plans, and functional objectives.
Who we are looking for:• Bachelor's degree in Systems, Electrical, Software, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.• 10+ years of experience in automotive electronics, ideally across multiple product lines or technologies.• 5+ years of experience in business development, technical leadership, sales, or project management, including direct customer-facing responsibilities.• Strong ability to operate independently, driving initiatives internally and externally across multiple organizational levels.• Experience working with global engineering teams; international assignments or cross-regional collaboration experience is preferred.• Solid understanding of automotive ADAS products, systems, and architectures, with the ability to translate customer needs into technical and strategic direction.
Your preferred qualifications:• Background in product development with exposure to business case analysis, commercial topics, profit-and-loss considerations, and financial reporting is preferred.• Demonstrated strategic thinking and planning abilities, combined with strong project management skills.
