We are looking for a Customer Implementation Engineer who blends technical depth with customer-facing communication skills. This is a hands-on role that spans pre-sales validation through post-sales implementation and onboarding.
While the posting title emphasizes “implementation” to better reflect the work, this role tracks directly to our Solutions Engineering career path, giving you exposure across pre-sales, implementation, and customer success. You’ll partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering to ensure customers not only choose our platform but also achieve fast, smooth deployment and measurable value.
The ideal candidate is a versatile technical generalist — confident in Linux CLI and networking, familiar with cybersecurity and compliance, and able to explain complex concepts in a clear, approachable way to executives and frontline operators alike.
What You’ll Do
- Lead technical validation efforts during the sales process, including discovery, scoping, demos, and proof-of-concepts.
- Own end-to-end implementation: plan, configure, deploy, and support onboarding through customer success handoff.
- Apply knowledge of Linux CLI, networking, and cybersecurity to address customer environments and requirements.
- Translate complex technical concepts into simple, actionable explanations for stakeholders with varying technical backgrounds.
- Support security questionnaires, RFPs/RFIs, and compliance assessments as needed.
- Partner with Sales to configure and demonstrate solutions tailored to customer challenges.
- Produce clear technical documentation to streamline IT/security approvals and support customer adoption.
- Coordinate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to deliver on technical commitments.
- Track value realization (e.g., safety improvements, incident reduction, efficiency gains) and communicate results to customer stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, Safety or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role (solutions engineering, technical consulting, implementation, or IT systems integration)
- Strong working knowledge of Linux CLI and computer networking fundamentals.
- Proven ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting pre-sales or post-sales processes, ideally in SaaS, cybersecurity, or networking.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, compliance assessments, and responding to security questionnaires.
- Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) — broad familiarity vs. deep specialization.
- CISSP or equivalent certification.
- Experience with video surveillance, camera systems, or safety technologies.
- Well-spoken, polished, and professional in customer interactions.
- Curious, collaborative, and honest about knowledge depth.
- Able to balance technical credibility with business impact storytelling.
