Role:
You will join a small team that is responsible for the day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, tax and audit engagements, cash and risk management, and accounting policies and procedures for the company.
As a Collections Coordinator, you will support our collection and cash application efforts. You will provide support to customers who have billing/invoicing questions. You should be comfortable reaching out to customers for past due balances and resolving disputes. You will strive to meet collection goals and help our team optimize cash flow. A team player at heart, you move fast while keeping your attention to detail. You tap into your problem-solving skills to support team objectives, help the team get better at what we do, and to improve processes/efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Review invoices for accuracy
- Execute regular billing/invoice runs to ensure accurate billing
- Drive and complete the Cash Application process
- Maintain accounts receivable aging analysis
- Execute collection strategies on past due balances
- Oversee customer communications related to billing questions/issues to ensure timely receipt of payments as needed
- Resolve disputed charges
- Maintain customer files and record payment information
- Data Entry
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting a plus
- Computer literacy; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and the Google suite.
- Previous collections experience a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with great attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
