Job Description
The Customer Vice President (CVP) leads all aspects of sales execution to deliver revenue, profit and share targets for annual operating plan for the Walmart Grocery business. This individual is the voice of the customer/sales and is the functional leader on the business unit leadership team.
Additionally, the CVP owns the co-development of all future sales strategies and tactics, including Distribution, Shelving, Merchandising and Pricing. Other accountabilities include customer demand planning, innovation delivery, and annual trade planning.
This position reports directly to the Area Vice President and develops a team comprised of Customer Sales Leads, Customer Sales Managers, and Customer Sales Analysts. In addition to direct full-time employees, the team also has cross functional roles to include Finance, Category Leadership, Supply Chain, eCommerce and Shopper Marketing.

New Hire Base Salary Range:
$201,500.00 - $251,900.00
Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): In addition to base salary and bonus, this role is eligible for additional compensation in the form of equity.

Primary Responsibilities
Build Strategic Link between Kraft Heinz and the Customer
- Develop engagement plan with corresponding levels (CVP to Customer VP, CBL to Buyer, etc.) to solidify lasting relationships
- Mentor, coach & develop a team with multifaceted strengths and experiences
- Build opportunities to unlock increased engagement at senior levels within KHC HQ and Customer HQ
- Reinforce engagement with a coordinated Joint Value Plan / Long Range Plan
Drive Sales Execution Across all Customers
- Drive distribution of critical voids, including selling in new annual Innovation
- Successfully implement merchandising and pricing needs
- Support customer category reviews and challenge team to use data & insights with category centric approach
- Develop and Implement channel strategy
- Share standard methodologies from Customer across peer group & broader sales organization
Support the Monthly Planning Process
- Align on demand plans to achieve Forecast Accuracy and Bias goals, as part of cross functional Integrated Business Planning process
- Work with revenue management, finance and customer teams to ensure accurate execution of trade spending
- Provide sales perspective on all risks, opportunities and contingencies to deliver the AOP, and think creatively on solutions with a growth & possibility demeanor
- Participate in the monthly stage gate process to ensure sales/customer perspective is considered when developing the execution plan
Development of Business Building Programs and Annual Planning
- Provide strategic and tactical input to the annual planning process through the development of the annual trade marketing review and co-development, with marketing, of the trade/sales strategy
- Provide leadership for the planning process by the development/improvement of the key elements, insuring timely execution and management of the process
- Plan customer joint business planning agreements and category negotiations
Analyze and Evaluate Business Trends for the Management Performance Review
- Track customer/category performance to ensure that business objectives are achieved within trade spending guidelines
- Counsel category leads of nuanced strategy by key customer/market, with focus on development of action plans
- Alignment of field sales and category team actions plans
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in retail sales with excellent understanding of business processes and systems; cross functional CPG experience a plus
- Known & tested experience owning a P&L and driving cross functional and customer alignment to goals, with strong financial competence tied to profit & revenue drivers to effectively deploy trade
- Demonstrated experience in building indispensable, long-term relationships for customers and cross functional partners
- Proven knowledge & experience leading a nationally scoped retailer, top customer
- Clear evidence of leadership skills & people management experience, who lives our values, with proven abilities to adapt through change
- Demonstrated abilities to get results, make decisions with logic, speed, and integrity, and lead strategically, connected to our Growth Plan
