The Role
We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Engineer with a strong focus on Incident Response to join our growing Cybersecurity team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands the high-stakes nature of the financial sector, and is committed to protecting critical assets. You will play a key role in identifying, investigating, and mitigating security threats across our enterprise environment.
Typical job duties would include:
- Monitoring security alerts, logs, and threat intelligence sources to identify potential incidents.
- Lead or support end-to-end incident response activities, including triage, containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Perform detailed root-cause analysis and create actionable remediation recommendations.
- Coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams during incidents, ensuring clear communication and timely response.
- Contribute to security tool tuning, automation, and dashboard optimization.
- Assist with red team/blue team exercises and participate in post-incident reviews.
We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in cyber security, preferably within the Financial Services Industry.
- Demonstrated experience managing security incidents.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Confident working with log data and threat intel.
- Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, Firewalls and Cloud Security Solutions.
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge of Scripting or Automation (Python, Powershell).
- Exposure to digital forensics, threat hunting or vulnerability management.
- Relevant certifications (GCIH, GCIA, CEH, Security+, CySA+).
