WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Go onsite and setup devices on customer network
• Provide in depth technical support to device customers over phone (and sometimes on site)
• Manage cases, bugs and processes as part of day to day activities
• Engage with product and engineering teams as needed to escalate/triage/report bugs
• Train local support staff on how on how to troubleshoot technical issues
• Contribute to internal and external knowledge base
• Work with sales teams and third-party consultants to present business solutions/configurations to the customer during the sales cycle
• Interface with third-party consultants, product managers and engineers to solve business/functional deployment issues
• Participate in enabling the Google Partner community through the development of content for training, certification as well as online resource sites and communities
• Transfer knowledge to partners and customers proactively to ensure a smooth and orderly transition of accounts from deployment to ongoing production

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Required Skills
• Most critical: Experience in networking concepts (such as DNS, TCP, Firewalls, Proxy Servers, DMZ, WiFi, 802.1x and/or TLS)
• Should be able to read code: Experience working with common programming/scripting languages (such as Java, Python, JavaScript and/or shell scripting)
• Basic: Experience with web concepts (such as HTML, XML, HTTP and/or JSON)
• Able to troubleshoot, can get skills at the project: Knowledge of Android, Chrome OS, and Chrome Browser
• Fluent communication skills in English
• Preferred Skills
• Understanding of network identity management systems (SSO, SAML, LDAP, Kerberos and NTLM)
• Experience with VMware, Citrix, or Terminal Services
• Familiar with device management/MDM solutions (such as Active Directory, ActiveSync, and/or AndroidSync)
• Ability to work well in a cross-functional and geographically dispersed team
• Clear and succinct written and verbal communication skills
