Programming Manager
THE ROLE
Peloton’s Content Department, comprised of our Production, Studio Operations and Instructor teams, works 365 days a year to deliver a broad offering of highly engaging subscription content to our members. We are a highly collaborative, fast-moving department that focuses on evolving our innovative programming.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule Ownership:
- Responsible for building the programming schedule for a specific modality based on agreed upon programming priorities. Reviewing monthly class programming mix by discipline in partnership with Programming Strategy & Content Research guidance.
- Builds recurring monthly Instructor & class schedules while considering special project captures, reviewing and signing off on Instructor PTO & studio events
- Advocate for their live schedule; maintains live programming offering
- Main point of contact & approves & troubleshoots schedule changes for programming & Instructor schedules
- Oversees workflow of Content Management System in partnership with Product & Research Teams.
- Maintaining Taxonomy including Class Types, Series, Titling, Mapping & Buildout.
- Improvements to UX & UI Design to better serve content to members.
- Works hand in hand with Content Strategy team of a specific modality for development & execution of new content.
- Programming Lead Assignments:
- Builds programming books for specialty programming captures and new content initiatives in development (e.g. new class types, new programs) to guide operations.
- Partner with Producer to Lead to bring concept to life
- Content liaison with Peloton Marketing & Creative teams for alignment on launch strategies
- Responsible for overseeing execution of assigned programming event or initiative
- Track Marketing support for launches and identify if a launch will need supplemental support for Instructor Social.
- Balance Instructor commitments to ensure programming needs are covered as well as creative captures for UI design and marketing teams.
- Liaise & facilitate instructor shoots with various Global Marketing Groups including Apparel.
- Oversees & partners with Localization team for Global Programming.
- Manages Programming Coordinators on Programming team
QUALIFICATIONS
- Desire to work in a production/studio environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working with live production and high-profile talent.
- Keen business sense with problem solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Razor sharp attention to detail.
- Flexible work schedule
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Applications.
- 5-8 years of experience
