About Moab

Moab is building a modern, all-in-one software platform for equipment dealers & rental businesses.

The equipment dealer & rental market is a key part of the multi-trillion dollar construction, agriculture, and logistics industries, and is currently underserved by antiquated incumbent software solutions (most of which were founded in the 1980's and 1990's).

Our vision is to connect everyone who is selling, buying, renting, servicing, or utilizing equipment, starting with a new system-of-record for equipment rental businesses that will help our customers create efficiency in the back office and generate more revenue in the front office.

We’re a small team of energetic, dedicated, and passionate individuals. We value team members that can not only roll up their sleeves to do hands-on work, but also think clearly & creatively about the big picture. We seek new team members who are eager to dive in and collaborate with the rest of the team to drive impact for our customers and for the business. At Moab, you’ll find significant room for career growth, fostered by a meritocratic culture that prioritizes individual and team development.

About the Role

The Data Analyst (Implementation) will be a core member of the Business Operations team. This person will own and scale the data pipelines, tools, and workflows that bring in and maintain customer data, ensuring every implementation and migration is seamless, accurate, and efficient.

This is a hands-on, technical role that combines technical rigor with operational context. You’ll work closely with our Engineering and Business Operations teams to help customers map, transform, and migrate their existing data into Moab’s schema using our SDK and API. You’ll also help establish the standards, libraries, and data frameworks that make customer onboarding repeatable and scalable.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, document, and maintain a library of Python scripts that use Moab’s SDK/API to transform, load, and validate customer data.

  • Build repeatable data ingestion and transformation workflows for SMB and mid-market customers, and manage more bespoke pipelines for enterprise implementations.

  • Define and enforce standards for customer data migrations, developing canonical schemas, transformation utilities, and QA practices.

  • Partner with internal teams to identify and resolve data quality issues during migrations and live customer operations.

  • Develop and maintain internal and customer-facing Power BI dashboards and SQL-based reporting to monitor implementation progress and customer data health.

  • Collaborate with Moab’s Engineering team to enhance the SDK and internal tooling as needed.

  • Contribute to process documentation, internal libraries, and cross-functional enablement resources.

What You Need

If you don’t think you meet all of the criteria below but are excited about the role, please apply. Nobody checks every box - we’re looking for someone who’s eager to learn and grow with us.

  • 0–2+ years of experience in a data analyst, data engineer, or implementation analyst role.

  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL; experience working with APIs and SDKs.

  • Understanding of data modeling, data transformation, and ETL concepts.

  • Experience with Power BI, or the ability to learn it quickly.

  • Comfort working in Git/GitHub and collaborating on code in a team environment.

  • Excellent communication skills and a high attention to detail.

  • A proactive, ownership-driven mindset - able to balance speed and precision in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Haves
  • Experience with customer data migrations or data integrations in a SaaS environment.

  • Ability to own ETL / data pipelines using existing vendors (e.g., Fivetran)

  • Interest in building standardization and automation for scaling data processes.

Why Moab
  • Be part of a small, high-impact team shaping the foundation of Moab’s data operations.

  • Work with modern data and technical tools and an experienced, fast-moving startup team.

  • Significant career growth opportunities in a high-visibility, cross-functional role.

  • Competitive compensation, equity, and benefits.
