The Data and Portfolio Management Program Manager is responsible for managing the strategy, prioritization and execution of strategic projects for several products and applications that support our Private Banking and Investment Management groups. S/He will participate in formulating strategy at the group level and oversee their team in all phases of the project life cycle, from initiation, analysis, organization, completion, and deployment of small to large sized projects that address business goals and needs. S/he will be responsible for identifying, hiring, training, and managing a team of BA and PM specialists who in turn will be responsible for handling complex requests by the front office/client, planning and determining technology upgrades, as well as resolving complex problems as they arise within the LOB.  

Responsibilities include:

Project Management Leadership:

  • Meet with relevant Capital Partners stakeholders to determine priorities, planning and resourcing
  • Set the agenda and business plan for specific products and technology upgrades, determining the timing of all related enhancements and projects, and ensuring availability of resources
  • Partner closely with Private Banking Change Management manager on deliverables
  • Accountable for continuous improvement and refining associated processes.
  • Accountable for project implementation success, including defining scope, project planning, business analysis, testing, escalating risks and timely delivery

Team Management and Oversight:

  • Responsible for identifying, hiring, training, and managing a team (4+) of Project Managers (PMs) and Business Analysts (BAs)
  • Coordinate as needed with outsourced UAT testing resources
  • Serve as SME and primary escalation point for team members

Documentation, Analysis, and Communication:

  • Create project reporting on project status and manage project planning documentation
  • Work with subject matter experts to understand requirements which are converted into a written Business Requirements Document
  • Act as the primary point of escalation for all issues and recommend solutions
  • Analyze tasks to determine appropriate target and actual delivery dates
  • Work with technology experts to ensure appropriate design and development of requirements
  • Lead or participate in meetings with business users and sponsors, systems groups, vendors, and clients 
  • Communication professionally and constructively to manage collaboration across project participants
  • Takes ownership and follow through on tasks; results oriented

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline required
  • 10+ years of experience in strategy, change management, project management and implementation, and/or business analysis
  • Managerial experience (1+ direct reports) leading teams
  • Ability to design efficient workflows for process improvement
  • Past project implementation experience focused on data management, cloud infrastructure, fixed income portfolio management, quant analysis, or portfolio accounting is required
  • Solid understanding of at least one or more of the below products:
    • STAR
    • AddVantage
    • SEI Wealth Platform
    • Charles River Development (CRD)
    • Bloomberg
    • InvestTools CreditScope or Perform
    • Informatica
    • GoldenSource
    • BI Tools
    • Master Data Management Tools
    • Data Quality Management Tools
  • Ability to identify, escalate and resolve problems/issues
  • Ability to communicate professionally through effective verbal and written communication
  • Demonstrates efficient time management
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration and relationship management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Proactive self-starter who is goal-oriented
  • Demonstrate risk awareness and ability to identify red flags

This role can be based in either our New York City or Philadelphia locations and is a hybrid role, with a minimum of three days per week in office.

   

Salary Range

NYC: $130k-$170k base salary + annual bonus target

BBH and its affiliates' compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
