TITLE: Data Operations Analyst
LOCATION: Jacksonville or NYC Preferred or Remote
SALARY: $55,000 to $72,500 base salary plus bonus and equity
The Role: Canoe is transforming how institutional investors manage alternative investment data. We automate document collection, data extraction, and delivery for the world's leading allocators. What You'll Do:
- Own GP Relationships: Serve as the primary entry point for all documents and data into Canoe, processing a high daily volume of incoming files across shared inboxes and portals with speed and precision. Build and maintain relationships with GPs and LPs to facilitate seamless data integration and document reporting.
- Master the Ecosystem: Build deep institutional knowledge of investor portals-understanding exactly when they report and how they report.
- Drive Automation: Partner directly with our technology and product teams to bring forward ideas for automation, actively helping us transition from manual operations to fully automated solutions.
- Optimize Operations: Continuously identify bottlenecks and drive process improvements to create massive efficiencies in your day-to-day workflow.
- Reconcile & Troubleshoot: Investigate and resolve missing documents by comparing expected reporting dates against client expected deliverables to ensure zero gaps in data.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience in fund operations, tech, or data entry is a plus.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience; prior exposure to financial services, operations, or high-volume administrative work is highly preferred.
- A collaborative team player with a positive attitude, who is always willing to roll up their sleeves and offer help to others.
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with a strong sense of urgency; you can churn through repetitive tasks accurately day-over-day without losing focus.
- A proactive problem-solver who doesn't just flag issues, but figures out the "why" behind them to prevent future errors.
- A builder's mindset: you get frustrated by inefficient, manual processes and naturally look for ways to automate them.
- Tech-savvy and highly adaptable; comfortable rapidly switching between multiple systems, portals, and platforms.
- A strong desire to learn about the alternative investment space through immersion in document reporting.
