Job Summary

As a Data Product Director in the Home Lending Data Owner team, you will play a pivotal role in spearheading programs that are at the cutting edge of Chase's data modernization initiatives. Your leadership will guide Home Lending towards an AI-, analytics-, and cloud-first strategy. This unique opportunity allows you to oversee the design and implementation of a hyperscale data platform, which will form the foundation for migrating our existing $200M+ Home Lending data ecosystem to the cloud.
Job responsibilities

  • Support strategic decisions around the design of, investment in, and decommissioning of elements of the Home Lending Servicing Product that is created, provisioned, or consumed to support strategic business objectives, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, advanced analytics, business operations, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with transformation leaders, designers, and developers to ensure that Home Lending Products leverage state-of-the-art cloud architecture while effectively navigating the firm's current-state hybrid environment.
  • Manage a data product team and partner with aligned Data Owners, Data Scientists, and Analysts, to drive increased business value through the identification of data required to support advanced analytics outcomes such as customer segmentation, personalization, and AI/ML, including Generative AI models.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  2. Strong understanding of AI/ML use cases and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
  3. Strong understanding of business case and cost analysis methods and techniques.
  4. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  6. Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, and experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, etc.
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  1. Master's degree or PhD preferred.
  2. Proven experience in a team manager role within a data-driven organization and track record of working with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders.
  3. Experience in product management, including the development and launch of new data products and strategic planning and execution of data initiatives
  4. Demonstrated experience in managing/deploying AI/ML models at scale and in the use of data visualization tools and data analysis software.
  5. Prior experience in cost analysis, financial modeling, and budgeting.
  6. Familiarity with data governance and data privacy regulations.
  7. Prior experience in Home Lending Servicing
