Description
Data Science Director (New York, NY)

  • Develop and refine Company's decisioning and pricing model by optimizing risk and return while dramatically reducing decision cycle times.
  • Evaluate alternative data sources and structures to document and improve the efficacy of Company's customer conversion models and processes.
  • Play a leadership role in the design and implementation of ongoing operational risk reporting and analytics ventures.
  • Work on data projects and proposals involving Company's financial services partners including banks, debtor investors, equity investors, and others to analyze, classify, and visualize credit-related data.
  • Supervise the analysis and implementation for white labeling Company's working capital loan product for new investors.
  • Apply data science approaches like linear regression. logistics regression and machine learning models on the extracted data using python, R.
  • Extract and mine complex data using SQL, create ad-hoc reports and conduct analyses for internal stakeholders.
  • Validate the accuracy of analyzed data communicated with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Regular interaction with C-suite executives to strategize for future investors.
  • Lead a growing team of data scientists.
  • Use project management tools like JIRA to manage timeline, resources, and scope through prioritization of projects for the direct reports.


Salary Offered: $163,238 - $175,000 per year. Must have a Master's Degree in Information Systems or a related field, or foreign equivalent, and 3 years of experience as a Data Science Project Manager in a financial technology company. Must possess 12 months of experience with Data Handling tools including EMySql, MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookup, Advanced Excel); Data Visualization tools Power BI, Intellicus; Software Skills: Python, R, SQL, JSON, Git, Agile; and Product Dev Tools: JIRA.
