We’re looking for an Ad Research & Insights Lead to oversee global and US thought leadership. As a member of our Global Measurement and Insights team, you will leverage bespoke research, ads measurement, and meta-analysis to craft insights narratives and provide prescriptive guidance as to how advertisers can drive effective and efficient ads performance on Snapchat.
What you’ll do:
Work closely with Ad Product, Product Marketing, Global Business Marketing, Product Specialists and Marketing Science teams to design and execute a research strategy and roadmap
Propose well-grounded solutions to flawlessly execute best-in-class ad industry thought leadership (e.g. marketing, analytics, research vendors, study design, and key insights)
Scope and gather context from partners when planning new projects, evaluating primary, secondary, and third party research, as well as traditional and non-traditional research methodologies
Ensure flawless execution of all research, mapping back to initial scope and business objectives
Design, write, and manage surveys with precision and attention to detail
Design, write, and execute first party data analysis with a focus on identifying actionable insights
Evaluate proposals from third-party research firms and build relationships with research partners
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to ensure maximum impact of research findings
As an insights storyteller, find opportunities to elevate Snap’s value propositions through testing hypotheses and developing narratives with innovative measurement approaches
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to structure and conduct analyses to generate insight and recommendations
Clear and concise communication; comfortable with presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership
Understand concepts, measurement solutions, and underlying statistical fundamentals of the ads efficacy and measurement ecosystem
- Possess deep knowledge of advertising industry research topics, omni-channel brand & performance ad measurement, and are familiar with conducting business globally and in the US
Access, analyze, interpret, and communicate ads performance insights using a wide range of standard data science tooling
Proficiency in measurement solutions including brand and conversion lift,
Can conduct data analysis and visualization utilizing advanced analytical tools (e.g. BigQuery, Google Data Studio, Tableau, Power BI) as well as languages (SQL, R, Python)
A deep understanding of applied statistics and market research (qualitative, quantitative, behavioral, experimental) research methodologies and have established relationships with research vendors
A strong understanding of Snapchat and the digital advertising and measurement ecosystem
Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or business field or equivalent years of experience
8+ years of experience working with ad efficacy and insights research at a leading ad platform, agency, brand, or research firm
Experience with ads measurement and market research
Advanced degree in business, psychology, sociology or a related field
Experience working with media agencies and brands
Experience building and influencing client or partner relationships
Experience with trend-reporting and thought leadership
Self-starter who is equally comfortable presenting to C-level executives as being “plugging in” and executing research start to finish
