ABOUT THE ROLE
As an analyst on the Custom Reporting team you will work with our BI team to empower clients to see more insightful reporting by channeling their VTS data into insightful customized dashboards and alerts. You will use your solution-oriented mindset and project management skills to work directly with clients to understand their key reporting and analytical challenges, and deliver a solution tailored to their needs via the VTS Business Intelligence product. In this role, you are constantly shaping a part of the VTS product for our clients.
What You'll Do
- Interact with VTS clients to learn their key business questions, reporting requirements, and desired data insights
- Explore client requirements and analyze how we can support them through our BI offering
- Construct dashboards and create alerts based on client requirements, and iterate with clients to state of completion
- Maintain touchpoints with both internal and external stakeholders on project status and timelines to manage expectations. Keep internal project management workflow up to date with you progress.
- Liaise the reconciliation of data issues and troubleshoot BI errors
- Contribute to the VTS data product community -- as new dashboard concepts are created, make them available for use for other customers as well as with VTS internally
- Collaborate with Implementation team when rolling BI out for new clients or in conjunction with broader implementation work for a given client
- Partner with BI manager to collect client stories and use-case examples to be leveraged by Sales, Implementation, or Client Advisory
About You
- 1-2 years in either commercial real estate asset/portfolio management, or in an analytics/data science/business intelligence capacity
- Understanding of real estate fundamentals
- Experience with reporting and data visualization tools such as Looker, Google Analytics, etc.
- Experience in a client-facing role, with the ability to empathize with customer challenges and ability to translate them across domains
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while communicating with their respective stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of working cross functionally to resolve customer issues
- Capable of explaining the complex models and concepts in a succinct and digestible manner
- Strong desire to learn additional skills in the domains of commercial real estate and business intelligence/data analytics
