Common is looking for a Data Analyst to support our Marketing, Product and Sales teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in analyzing the efficiency of our sales funnel and the success of our experiments. We are looking for people who get excited about identifying opportunities to help improve acquisition, engagement and conversion.


About the Role

The Data Analyst will play a key role in shaping the future of our conversion strategy by:


- Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques and providing ongoing reports

- Developing and implementing databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality

- Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases/data systems

- Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets

- Working with management to prioritize business and information needs

- Locating and defining new process improvement opportunities

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience working as a data analyst 
  • Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst and with using data visualization tools
  • Expertise with data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • 2+ years’ hands-on experience in SQL
  • Prior experience with reporting packages, databases, and programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)
  • Prior experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, R, SPSS, SAS etc)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills including presentation skills
  • BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
  • Experience using Heap, Salesforce and Periscope is a plus
