Data Scientist, Music
Peloton is looking for a talented Data Scientist to work with our Music team to identify insights into how our members engage with our music. You will be responsible for developing models to understand our engagement across both our instructors and members, and use this data to draw actionable conclusions and support our overall team efforts to deliver a world class product. You’ll work cross functionally across several lines of business such as Content, Membership, Product, and Engagement to understand where music can enhance our member experience.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Analyze our music usage data to identify user trends and draw actionable conclusions
- Develop algorithms that power Music in our business and for our customers
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to incorporate content, fitness, and music data
- Work with third party music partners to improve music discovery and music metadata
- Coordinate with engineering teams to deploy and productionize machine learning models
This role will start off Remote and will require relocation to our New York City HQ, Santa Clara, or Atlanta Music HQ when safe to do so!
ABOUT YOU:
- 3+ years of work experience in data science, analytics, statistics, or engineering
- Have demonstrated experience with statistical modelling and possess knowledge about machine learning (such as predictive modelling, decision trees, classification models, clustering techniques)
- Have previous work experience with analytics and visualization tools (such as Pandas, R, SPSS, SQL, Hadoop, Tableau, Looker) and performing analysis with large datasets
- Enjoy understanding and taking on loosely defined problems and come up with relevant answers and impactful insights to guide strategic business decisions
- Ability to prioritize projects, communicate progress, and deliver on time
- Comfort in a fast-paced, highly-dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders
