Job Description

MarketAxess Corporation seeks Database Administrators in New York, NY.

As a member of the Global database team, manage On-Prem Oracle and SQL Server databases and AWS RDS databases. Duties include: administrate enterprise databases for production and non-production environments; responsible for Storage management, backup, recovery, monitoring, and maintaining ongoing performance of databases to develop updates or modifications according to business needs; monitor, review, and collaborate with other database administrators to ensure correct practices and procedures; resolve complex database performance issues, database capacity issues, SQL related issues, and other distributed data issues; consult with application development teams and advise them of the correct usage of appropriate data manipulation techniques; and assist IT team members with issues needing technical expertise, complex systems, and database knowledge.

Requires 7 year of experience in a related occupation. Requires 7 years of experience in the following: SQL Server database administration, and SQL Server Always-On database instances on Windows Cluster environments; SQL Server, including SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Server Always-On, SSIS, SSRS, PowerShell, Windows Clustering, Database Installation, upgrade, Performance and Turning, Troubleshooting database issues, and SQL Server Encryption (TDE); Oracle database administration with Oracle RAC ASM databases in UNIX/Linux environments; Oracle, including Oracle 12c and above, RAC, ASM, Data Guard, Enterprise Manager, Shell Scripting, database design principals, database installs, upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. Requires 5 year of experience in financial organization. Requires 3 years of experience in Database Migration experience to Cloud, including AWS. Travel required.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

MarketAxess's Flexible Spending Account (FSA) helps employees cover out-of-pocket medical expenses with pre-tax contributions of up to $2,650 annually.

Disability insurance
