How does this Position help VTS Succeed?

The Director, Market Strategy role will be responsible for NYC, a critical market for the success of the rapidly growing VTS Market product. The Director, Market Strategy will be responsible for establishing, evangelizing and delivering upon the VTS ecosystem of solutions and services (marketplace, data and leasing/asset management) - establishing VTS as the industry’s best experience for office landlords and brokers to do business. The Director, Market Strategy will be responsible for developing and owning the strategy and execution plan to drive ongoing engagement of the market, creating value, innovation, and ensuring our customers achieve an unparalleled experience and result.

What Makes This Job Awesome?

  • You will own the NYC office market, the largest in the world. The engagement, development and success of the market will be your core focus. You will be responsible for the P&L, as well as, ensuring continued growth and engagement of all marketplace participants (landlords, agency brokers, tenant rep brokers).
  • You have your finger on the pulse of the market and will be expected to be metrics and data driven. You will lead the strategy, business and operational targets, tactics and execution, and financial performance of the market
  • You will identify opportunities and risks to the market’s success and partner with executives, General Managers, and other VTS team members to address these quickly and efficiently
  • You will be responsible for nurturing and deepening in-market relationships with owners and brokers to ensure high levels of adoption and provide feedback back to VTS’ internal teams to help continuously improve them
  • You will inform and direct a team to engage local users and drive adoption with the marketplace and the full VTS suite of solutions. You will shepherd resources that are both dedicated to the market as well as being client and product focused
  • You will work in lockstep with our core Operations, Product and Engineering teams, understanding the end-to-end product and operations and providing them with critical in-market knowledge and feedback
  • You will work closely with Sales, Solutions and Product to identify, secure and improve the depth and breadth of our client engagements, their utilization of the VTS platform and the quality of information delivery for all core services
  • You will partner with the Customer Support organization to ensure a great experience, timely actionable insights regarding their portfolios and usage for all VTS clients in the market.
  • You will work with Marketing to execute on local market strategies that engage, excite and generate high order usage within the NYC market

What Makes You a Great Fit?

  • Minimum 10 years of operational leadership experience. This includes having the ability to influence others without having direct authority over them. 
  • You are ready to get your hands dirty, recognizing that no task is too small in the effort to build a large and scalable organization
  • Exceptionally communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Willingness and ability to evangelize, present and conduct hands-on training to the market leaders within the NYC office market.
  • Prior professional experience with operation optimization, processes, detailed organization and program/project management. 
  • You have a strong sense of urgency & initiative—you find problems and proactively build solutions 
  • Experience building relationships and communicating at the executive level, across a variety of domains (i.e.: operational, financial, technological, and clinical)
  • Experience managing complex projects that span across the organization in a manner that motivates and develops members of the working teams
  • Analytical background and the ability to quickly digest and evaluate complex financial structures and operational workflows
  • Knowledge and experience with the CRE office sector is strongly preferred with insight into the ecosystem of property marketing and leasing.
