Director of Performance Analytics

Fluent is looking for an experienced Director of Performance Analytics with a strong passion for leading Analytics teams and projects that assess and deliver actionable insights focused on driving business performance. As the Director of Performance Analytics, you will use your leadership skills, technology insight, business acumen and creativity to lead a team that builds data pipelines and tools to automate reporting and generate insight. You will use a data driven approach to sharpen decision making and drive understanding of our fast-growing business. In this role, you will oversee the development of scalable solutions that will help make data relevant to Fluent’s Performance Marketing Group on current and historical performance and visualizing the key opportunities for growth. Using your technical skills, you will build tools to automate reporting and dashboard updates so that Team Leads across Fluent’s different business lines can see quickly and accurately how their businesses are performing.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of analysts in delivering strategic and tactical analytics projects, solutions and actionable insights
- Manage the analytics project lifecycle including:
- Defining projectdeliverables based on requirements gathering and ideation sessions
- Defining testing requirements and KPIs necessary to conclude on the success of a project
- Coordinating project tasks anddeliverables within a cross functional team environment
- Coordinating data retrieval and data aggregation from multiple sources
- Mine and translate data into meaningful insights
- Analyze, interpret and communicate the results of experiments to Analytics and Business leadership teams
- Audit analysis produced by you and your team for accuracy
- Monitoring the project timeline and providing updates on the project progress and deliverables to senior leadership
- Presenting findings to the business owners and senior leadership in a digestible and actionable format that will drive change and new initiatives across the company
- Rationalize and prioritize projects by assessing the financial impact and actionable insights of the project
- Provide insights to business stakeholders through analysis of revenue, sales conversion and yield data to drive greater efficiency and effectiveness of our business operations
- Socialize analytic capabilities and various analysis results throughout the organization
- Lead the development and implementation of dynamic reporting tools (for example, dashboards, scorecards) to support the strategic goals of Performance Marketing Group
- Develop strategies, best practices, process improvements, analytical frameworks, share expertise with others, mentor and continually strive to improve overall contributions to the department
Requirements
- A rigorous yet creative analytic approach that enables superior business outcomes
- Strong background in statistical concepts including regression analysis, factoring, clustering, decision trees and A/B testing
- Experience with various data types (e.g. Relational, unstructured, Hierarchical, etc)
