Investor Relations Analyst
The Team:
Datadog’s Investor Relations team is a strategic group that reports directly to the CFO and interact regularly with the management team. As a publicly traded company (ticker: DDOG), Investor Relations is tasked with the external communication of the company’s financials, metrics, products, and market position to the investment community.
The Opportunity:
Datadog is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Investor Relations Analyst to develop and support Datadog’s investor relations program. In this position, you will work closely with executives and teams across the business to craft the long-term value story around our $28B market cap stock. This person will report to the Head of Investor Relations.
The successful candidate will ideally have a strong finance background, possess outstanding numerical and communication skills, and have extremely high attention to detail. Experience in the investor relations function in a public Software/SaaS company is preferred, but not required.
You Will:
- Develop a deep understanding of Datadog's products, operating model, financial performance and competitive position
- Prepare key messages and presentations to communicate Datadog's progress and performance to key internal and external partners
- Build and maintain investor presentations, website, consensus summaries, financial models, industry trackers and other resources used by our public equity investors and our senior management
- Assist in drafting various communications for investor materials, such as Datadog’s earnings release, earnings call remarks, investor presentations and shareholder letters
- Coordinate workflows across functional teams, such as finance, legal, product and marketing, to gather information in preparation for quarterly earnings and executive presentations
- Contribute to investor relationship management, including tracking the efficacy of our engagement efforts with roadshows, investor conferences and individual meetings.
- Assisting in investor meeting targeting and scheduling, with a goal of meeting investor interest and demand with the correct level of engagement by executives and IR
- Assist with investor & research analyst requests
- Analyze competitive behavior, market trends, shareholder concerns and other factors to inform investor communications and corporate strategy
You Are:
- An experienced professional with 2-3 years of experience in equity analysis, finance, or investor relations, preferably in a high growth technology or Software/SaaS company
- Knowledgeable of a broad range of financial topics (GAAP reporting and financial statements, discounted cash flow models, equity valuation techniques, etc.)
- Experienced with financial modeling and analysis
- An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and presentation skills, including the proven ability to communicate both orally and in writing, including the dissemination of financial performance and related information
- Independent and a self-starter with the ability to work and stay organized in a global fast-paced environment, under time constraints, and simultaneously manage multiple assignments
- Extremely detail-oriented, with impeccable judgement & ethics
- Highly proficient with Excel and Google Sheets
- Someone who has a Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related field

- Strong financial and investment analysis capabilities, including experience with financial modelling and valuation techniques
Demonstrated success in a strategic investor relations function - Familiarity with SEC requirements around financial reporting and communications
