The ideal candidate has experience in an analytical, logistics, or supply chain role and isn’t afraid to take ownership and tackle new challenges every day. This role will join the growing logistics team to help ensure a successful, cost effective, and enjoyable delivery experience for every customer.

Responsibilities

• Support and optimize parcel delivery and linehaul freight through the creation and management of sound data analytics
• Support the launch and expansion of our new facility in Savage, MD, and future facilities, as it relates to logistical needs and challenges
• Expand and refine our delivery network to optimize on-time delivery, transit speed, and cost
• Provide decision support analysis during carrier RFPs
• Improve the customer delivery experienceIdentify, communicate, and correct systemic logistics issues
• Support the financial planning process
• Create and manage performance KPIs for carriers
• Audit freight bills to identify and correct billing errors
• Recommend and implement new programs, tools, and processes that align with logistics objectives
• Offer coordination support when needed

About You

• A proven track record of using data and analysis to influence business decisions
• The ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment - A self-motivator who is exceptional at collaborating, organizing, prioritizing, and executing simultaneous projects and activities with a sense of urgency
• 2+ years of analytical experience within supply chain, logistics, operations, consulting, finance, or related field preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets. Ability to analyze and manipulate data and create dashboards, business models, and tools.
• Has an understanding of statistics and analytical methodologies
• Knowledge and experience with database management or systems a plus (examples include Redshift, Looker, or Tableau)
• Customer focused with strong communication and presentation skills
• Optimistic, resourceful, and ready to take on any challenge
• Be willing to be on-call for 1-2 nights a week
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations, supply chain & logistics, finance, or related field preferred
• Able to travel up to 15%
