Manager-Media and Sponsorship Analytics



What You Will Do:

 

  1. LOCAL SPORTS MEDIA

 

EVALUATION

-Lead on providing analyses and value recommendations for local sports media (TV/R/Cable)

-Lead on providing analyses and value recommendations for team sports sponsorship elements (stadium signage, promotional and hospitality elements and team logo IP)

-Input will be provided by media team and field marketing personnel

-Once recommendation is approved by management, draft initial offer documents for vendor

-Track and monitor negotiation status (offer/counter-offer) through to finalized deal points

-Publish detailed purchase summary to confirm with vendor

-Publish detailed purchase summary that will be shared with key internal stakeholders (CMO, VP Business Development and Head of Field Marketing)


TRACKING & MONITORING

-Game by game ratings tracking and monitoring vs established rating goals

-Manage under-delivery, secure makegood units

-Secure credits/makegoods as required for missed games, pre-emptions



  1. SPORTS SPONSORSHIP

EVALUATION

-Lead on providing analyses and value recommendations for team sports sponsorship elements (stadium signage, promotional and hospitality elements and team logo IP)

-Input will be provided by media team and field marketing personnel

-Once recommendation is approved by management, draft initial offer documents for vendor

-Track and monitor negotiation status (offer/counter-offer) through to finalized deal points

-Publish detailed purchase summary to confirm with vendor

-Publish detailed purchase summary that will be shared with key internal stakeholders (CMO, VP Business Development and Head of Field Marketing)

TRACKING & MONITORING

-Tracking and monitoring attendance and other specified performance measures (ie FTDs) against established goals

-Secure credits/makegoods as required for missed games, reduced attendance, reduced signage exposure



  1. MEDIA PERFORMANCE TRACKING

-Tracking and monitoring all national and local media activity purchased directly (CBS/ESPN) and stewardship of agency’s national media buys:

-Daily monitoring and weekly reporting of national buys

                        -Purchased vs goals

                        -ADU approvals

                        -Integration tracking and monitoring, securing proof of performance

                        -Weekly look ahead calendar of national CZR units

                        -Competitive tracking, building database of competitive intel and examples

-Local tracking and monitoring of all local media activities

                        -ADU approval coordination

                        -Management of Goal vs Purchase reporting across all markets

                        -Weekly stewardship of CBS local digital delivery, direct with CBS and in conjunction with internal team

                        -Quarterly post-analysis

 

 

  1. COMPETITIVE MONITORING/TRACKING

-On going tracking and monitoring of competitive media and sponsorship activity in all categories (Sports betting, Casino and Daily Fantasy) by medium, by market and by professional sports team

-Work with 3rd party agency to establish regular cadence for both national and local media competitive reporting cadence

 


 

What You Will Need:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree                                    
  • 7 years of proven media analytics experience from an agency or B2C organization, hands-on experience with relevant Local and National TV, Radio, Print and OOH planning and execution                                                                                    
  • Experience managing complex, on-line/off-line marketing budgets
  • Extensive experience with media planning/buying systems & research tools, such as DoubleClick, Salesforce, comScore & Kantar
  • Direct Media Buying, Media Buying and Sports Sponsorship Management experience preferred
  • Proven analytical skills and problem-solving ability paired with meticulous attention to detail                                                         
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to deliver the necessary updates on complex issues as well as the "good and the bad news” to a wide array of internal stakeholders
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, consistently adhering to strict deadlines and evolving priorities                                                                        
  • A firm understanding of offline media buying metrics (ROI, CPM, CPP, Reach/Frequency)                                                                                             
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills, especially Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint required
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, to delegate and manage the workloads of others
  • Action-oriented – ability to identify issues and solutions as well as anticipate consequences                                                                                 
  • Have energy and enthusiasm for a new challenge, an ability to tackle complex regulatory environment and desire to thrive in a fast-paced, changeable category            
  • Passion for Sports Betting Category and Interest in Sports Preferred
