About the Team:

The Analytics team at TPT blends quantitative data and generalist knowledge gained from close partnerships with product managers and functional team leads (e.g., growth marketing manager) to drive decision making, understand TPT's business and products, produce solutions, surface opportunities, and develop the data culture at TPT. Between running org-wide data trainings, collaborating with product, marketing, and sales teams, supporting senior leadership and our board of directors, and contributing to cross-functional exploratory work with the design, data science, and content teams, the Analytics team has unique exposure to the full org and a high level of leadership visibility. You'll work through the full analytics stack, from building models on top of raw data in our database to performing ad hoc and exploratory analyses to delivering compelling data stories that influence decision making.

Role:

Data Analysts power the insights engine of a company which helps their stakeholders make informed and timely business decisions.

You will join our diverse analytics team at TPT and your work will help to advise and inform Product, Growth, Finance and other critical business teams at each stage in their decision lifecycle, from formulating hypothesis, breaking down business questions and developing analyses on user behavior and trends, to prioritizing and scoping new features. You will work collaboratively with stakeholder teams to define and track meaningful KPI's and goals which align with broader business objectives. You will also collaborate closely with data scientists, analytics engineers and other analysts to define and implement data best practices across Data Collective at TPT. You will act as a data champion at TPT, evangelizing the use of data and proactively identifying opportunities to increase data literacy and engagement across the organization.

Data can transform how a company operates; high quality and contextual insights is the biggest lever to achieving that transformation. You will make that happen at TPT and help us democratize data & insights.

Responsibilities: 

  • Empower functional leaders and stakeholders by providing high quality and timely reporting, analyses and actionable insights.
  • Drive deep strategic analysis, drawing insights and transforming data into actionable changes that inform the most important decisions across the organization to improve our understanding of our business opportunities and challenges.
  • Partner with our Product, Strategy, Growth and Operations teams to form hypotheses and design programs with end state analysis in mind.
  • Design, develop and automate self-service dashboards to ensure our business leadership have easy access to the right information when monitoring product and business health.
  • Develop new models and methods for evaluating existing data or correlating new to existing data sources for intuitive reporting solutions.
  • Training and educating internal teams on key metrics and dashboards and fostering data driven decision making at TPT.
  • Utilize strong understanding of business processes, services, and technology to identify opportunities for improvement, simplification, standardization, and automation across our business functions.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for deriving and delivering high quality insights, actionable recommendations, and analytics work
  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience as a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Data Scientist or similar
  • Strong skills in SQL, and business intelligence tools
  • Experience in analysis design and statistical insights generation
  • Proven ability to succeed in both collaborative and independent work environments
  • Detail oriented and excited to learn new skills and tools

Extra Credit:

  • Hands-on experience with data modeling tools, such as dbt
  • Python, Looker, and Notebook skills preferred
  • An eye for design when it comes to dashboards and visualization tools

Compensation & Benefits:

TPT offers a holistic Total Rewards package designed to support our employees in all aspects of life, inside and outside of work:

Base salary range: 127,000-150,000 USD annually.

  • In addition to cash compensation, all TPTers are eligible to participate in TPT’s equity plan to receive management incentive units (MIUs).
  • The final job level and compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, years of relevant experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, geographic location, and other business considerations.
