Job Description

Do you view data as a puzzle waiting to be solved?  Are you a creative problem solver who possesses strong analytical skills and a hands-on working knowledge of new technologies, using data as a tool to identify solutions and opportunities? 

 

The Department of Radiology is pleased to announce an exciting new Senior Data Analyst position, reporting to the Director, Radiology Strategic Projects. This position will play an integral role in our Evidence-based Cancer Imaging Program, leveraging our vast institutional data resources to predict, analyze, and assess the impacts of implementing clinical decision support for the appropriate use of advanced diagnostic  imaging.

 

This candidate will be responsible for establishing and managing a data-centric analytics and reporting framework to monitor operational impacts, ensure compliance with regulatory mandates, identify and address outliers, and ensure the unique imaging needs of patients with cancer are met.

 

What you'll do:

  • Identify and collect data to support investigation of business problems, transforming data to support analytical requirements.
  • Apply a variety of analytical techniques, including descriptive and predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and visualization to explore data and uncover patterns.
  • Establish models to predict impacts of policy changes and monitor outcomes.
  • Collaborate and communicate with all levels of leadership to make recommendations for continuous process improvements.

Who you are:

  • 4-7 years of work experience, at least 3 years in a data-oriented position
  • Hands on working knowledge of Tableau or other data visualization tools
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • Experience using data analytics tools (e.g. R, Python) a plus
  • Creative problem solver, able to manage complexity and ambiguity
  • Healthcare experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s degree a plus
