Position Description:
Accountable to IT Risk Management and Security (ITRMS) Associate Director of Security Analytics; ensure Security Analytics Extract Transfer and Load (ETL) capabilities are properly planned, developed, deployed and sustained in alignment with enterprise architecture standards. This high impact role will have an acute focus on the data management outcomes of the security analytics platform ensuring data architecture, design, storage considerations including database technology, efficient flows, mappings, and associated scripting / software development is returned satisfying strategic vision.
This position will develop technologies and services that simplify the effort to discover, connect, transfer, store, and host data built upon sound data science principles to empower key cyber and compliance teams across the Information Technology and Risk Management, Global Security, and Compliance organizations. The Security Analytics platform is in the early phases of a revised digitization strategy which requires a talented data engineer to drive and shape how these services evolve. Understanding how to ascertain actionable relevant data from stakeholder requirements and subsequently program into useful logic for consumption by downstream applications will be key to the success of this position.
Scope and Responsibilities Include:

• Engineer a flexible and converging data architecture and process to address a fluid and dynamic data environment.
• Provide consultation to data governance and engineer solutions that adhere to governance business rules
• Discover and engineer data ingestion and management for large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements
• Identifying, designing and deploying data flow improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, cloud enabling and optimizing data delivery
• Building metrics and analytics to manage data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency
• Working with other engineers including data, design and product SMEs and advising with data-related technical issues
• Build and maintain strong ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) services architecture to ensure the reliability, compliance, and integrity of the Security Analytics data management processes
• Engage stakeholders, product owners, and business analyst for requirements gathering
• Convert business requirements into high level and low-level designs, configuration, coding, and deployment
• Design and customize data models for consumption to and from SIEM platforms [Splunk, Splunk ES, Splunk Phantom, Securonix] as well as modern data "houses" "lakes" supporting cloud initiatives [AWS RDS, AWS Redshift, Azure RDS]
• Process data from common industry GRC [i.e. RSA Archer, ServiceNow] and Cybersecurity [Cylance, Cisco, McAfee, Qualys, etc.] platforms as well as Microsoft 0365 environment, flat files [i.e. csv, MS Excel], and multiple database technologies
• Engage and understand enterprise ETL technology solutions [i.e. Streamset, CRIBL, Informatica, MS Power Automate]
• Write Python, SQL, PL/SQL, SPL scripts to extract and transform data
• Support operational teams responsible for daily data loads and work with business users to handle rejected data
• Develop Interfaces using scripts to automate the bulk load & update processes
• Develop logical and physical data models that capture current state/future state data elements and data flows

Education Minimum Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree in either Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science or other quantitative mathematics field of study

Required Experience and Skills:

• Extensive experience in developing ETL scripts, stored procedures, functions, views and triggers, complex queries using Python, SPL, AWS Redshift, Glue and Lambda functions as well as SQL languages
• Experience in resolving on-going maintenance issues, bug fixes, monitoring and performance tuning of data transactions
• Strong decision making, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well independently and in teams
• Ability to work on multiple assignments concurrently
• Working knowledge of data management systems (relational and non-relational)
• Working knowledge of security analytic tools and services
• Ability to lead fast-paced delivery in challenging environments
• Ability to work with direct management to foster positive client relationships, identify new opportunities with existing stakeholders, and develop new innovative approaches
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT information security domain and SIEM Management
• Advanced understanding of Splunk Cloud, Enterprise Security, Phantom architecture
• Experience with Python and API development utilities
• Experience managing cloud workloads from an event management perspective (AWS\\Azure)
• Experience using Jira for product development tracking
• Advanced knowledge of Phantom SOAR, and how it integrates with Splunk Cloud\\On-Prem environments

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• CISSP, CISM, AWS/Azure or other cybersecurity certifications desirable
• Splunk Certified Admin - Splunk Administrator Certification are desirable
• Familiarity with Agile solution delivery methodology
• Working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices
• Kubernetes, Dockers cloud orchestration technologies
• Knowledge of Data Streaming solutions such as Informatica, Streamset, Cribl
• Data warehousing, modeling, integration, migration architectural experience
• Ability to build excellent relationships with technology vendors and develop mutually beneficial partnerships
