Job Description
The Data Modernization and Cloud team is responsible for enabling utilization of our world class data assets in order to change every aspect of our business. We do this by envisioning data publishing, consumption & persistence using modern data formats, enabling faster data processing and efficient consumption patterns for developing advanced analytics.
This role is an integral part of Data Modernization and Cloud team. The Data Modernization manager will orchestrate the modernization of data being published across the Firm's products. This role works with product teams to ensure that they have line of sight on data modernization, and tracks their progress. This role is a mix of consulting (problem solving, thought leadership, client management) and project management (tracking, stakeholder communication).
The right candidate will work as a part of distributed teams to identify and drive strategic decisions, conduct analysis and make recommendations around the path forward, and communicate with senior leadership.
Job responsibilities

  • Overseeing the implementation and tracking of data modernization
  • Providing guidance & consulting to variety of product & data teams with regards to Data Modernization efforts such as legacy data identification, target state design, and modernization best practices.
  • Defining strategy & collaborate with cross functional teams to drive data modernization projects and developing roadmaps.
  • Performing capacity planning, budgeting, program and execution planning as well as executive reporting.
  • Help evaluate & validate modernized datasets, track data migration to the cloud and report on the progress.


Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Management or Data Transformation in a technical program management or product role.
  • Proven ability to structure and scope complex problems and apply a range of analytical tools to develop solutions
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and influencing skills - ability to collaborate and build relationships with colleagues at all levels and achieve goals without direct control over resources
  • An outstanding ability to communicate effectively and confidently, and to work well in cross-functional teams


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3+ years of experience leading teams. Management consulting experience is a plus.
  • Experience managing budgets, MSAs, RFPs and SOWs for large scale initiatives is a plus
  • Experience with AWS, Snowflake or another public cloud is a plus.
  • Experience with Big Data & Analytics tools and frameworks is a plus
