Marc Jacobs International, powered by the creative genius of Marc Jacobs, seeks a Demand Planner to join the Planning Team based in its New York City (SoHo) headquarters.
Successful product launches and sustained business growth require agile planning and forecasting. From the moment a product is introduced at market to the final moment it is phased out, the planning department is there every step of the way, ensuring inventory is being optimized, sales trends are being monitored, and financial plans are being met. Nested within a larger department responsible for allocations and operations, the planning team takes on the role of always approaching solutions via a supply chain lens. As a part of the team, you would be helping to achieve these goals globally across all channels by projecting sales for our best sellers, highlighting missed opportunities, and adding an analytical perspective to our business. You would be taking ownership over specific product categories and become the point person for all pertaining requests.

SALARY & BENEFITS
The compensation for this position ranges from $73,000-80,000 annually. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience. Marc Jacobs uses the published salary range as a guideline to provide our employees with market competitive pay while allowing for flexibility to recognize and reward all levels of expertise, performance, and tenure.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Publish various weekly reports, maintaining them as well as updating them as needed
- Style-level demand planning and forecasting for 100+ top selling items globally (bottoms-up planning).
- Highlight missed inventory opportunities
- Propose additional inventory needs
- Roll up style forecasts and identify areas where style-level expectations do not meet top-line projections (tops-down planning)
- Collaborate with Merchandizing team to ensure business plans and priorities are aligned
- Assist Planning Manager during Open-to-Buy processes by extracting data, creating supporting documents, and identifying potential concerns
- Monitor inventory through its entire lifecycle and propose action plans when necessary
- Work on various one-off analytical projects based on business needs
- 1-3 years of data analysis experience
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong ability to work with and analyze data in Excel
- Attention to detail is a must
- Ability to work at the micro and macro levels of the business
- Retail math knowledge preferred
- Eagerness to learn
