Snap Inc is a technology company. We believe the camera presents the greatest opportunity to improve the way people live and communicate. Snap contributes to human progress by empowering people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together. The Company’s three core products are Snapchat, a visual messaging app that enhances your relationships with friends, family, and the world; Lens Studio, an augmented reality platform that powers AR across Snapchat and other services; and its AR glasses, Spectacles.

The Specs and Lens Studio Marketing team unites Snap’s consumer and developer marketing under one creative system, connecting storytelling, design, and innovation to deliver world-class work across audiences. We build the Specs brand from launch to scale, grow the Lens Studio developer ecosystem, and drive flagship partnerships and campaigns that shape culture and redefine how the world experiences Snap.

We’re looking for a Design Lead to help drive this work across consumer and developer marketing. This is a senior, hands-on creative role for a design leader who is conceptual, detail-oriented, and deeply invested in craft. You’ll partner closely with the Creative Director and cross-functional teams to bring ideas to life, elevate design quality, and push work that connects creativity, culture, and technology.

Technically fluent, with a strong understanding of immersive technologies including AR, AI, and wearables, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of designers, writers, and conceptual creatives to deliver bold, high-impact storytelling across campaigns, partnerships, and product launches.

What you'll do:

  • Lead design craft and execution across Specs and Lens Studio marketing initiatives, including campaigns, partnerships, and product storytelling

  • Translate creative strategy and concepts into world-class visual systems and executions

  • Be hands-on in design, art direction, and concept development, from early exploration through final delivery

  • Collaborate closely with the Creative Director, writers, producers, and cross-functional partners to bring integrated ideas to life

  • Set and uphold high standards for design quality, consistency, and storytelling across consumer and developer-facing work

  • Provide thoughtful feedback and mentorship to designers, helping elevate craft, confidence, and creative thinking

  • Present design work clearly and confidently to stakeholders, incorporating feedback while protecting creative integrity

  • Support high-visibility presentations and pitch moments for major campaigns and partnerships.

  • Stay current on design trends, culture, and emerging technologies including AR, AI, and immersive platforms

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience with immersive, interactive, or emerging technology campaigns (AR, AI, XR, or similar)

  • Background working across both consumer-facing and creator or developer-focused products
Experience mentoring or informally managing designers
Familiarity with motion, 3D, or experiential design workflows

  • Strong design leadership with a sharp eye for craft, composition, typography, and visual storytelling

  • Conceptual thinker who can contribute to ideas, not just execution

  • Comfortable working across consumer and developer audiences, balancing clarity with inspiration

  • Strong collaborator who thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional environments

  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high creative standards

  • Clear communicator who can articulate design decisions and creative rationale

Minimum qualifications:

  • 8+ years of design experience in creative marketing, brand, or digital environments

  • Proven experience leading design for campaigns, launches, or partnerships from concept through execution

  • Portfolio demonstrating strong conceptual thinking, design craft, and storytelling

  • Experience working closely with creative leadership and cross-functional partners

  • Fluency in modern design tools such as Figma, Keynote, Adobe Creative Suite
