About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate, empathetic and strategic leader who will advocate for all our users, Patients and Providers, and drive UX Research strategy of high profile initiatives. Additionally, you will lead a team of UX researchers who will drive insights into innovative design decisions and product strategy.
What You’ll Do:
- Hire, build and manage a team of high performing UX researchers across different initiatives.
- Define research goals by collaborating with other Tech Org directors that uncover deep user insights to inform and establish strategic plans for action.
- Build research strategy, pipeline and manage a research area with broad scope in size and complexity on multiple aspects of Ro’s platform including our design systems.
- Establish and conduct both generative and evaluative studies that uncover unique patient insights that inform innovative design decisions and strategy.
- Be the influential and inspiring voice in the org by making user insights accessible and regularly communicate and engage with users and teams across org.
- Lead the creation and evolution of UX research processes, deliverables and capabilities.
- Foster a strong collaborative relationship with Product Management, Product Design, Data, Marketing and Clinical Research teams.
- Raise the bar, coach and mentor Product Design teams to grow their muscles of research and testing.
What You’ll Bring:
- A proven track record of leading a successful UX Research team with an ability to mentor and motivate the team.
- Concrete examples of driving business impact and value with research insights (software products)
- Diverse background and experience with research methods including field studies, data analysis, usability testing, behavior analysis.
- An excellent communicator and collaborator.
- 7+ years of user research experience or in a related field
- 5+ years managing and mentoring a team of researchers
