We are hiring a Head of Design to lead the design, product, and brand. Your opportunity: creating a design practice inside a rapidly scaling, series B-funded start-up based in NYC. The moment you join, you'll have two open design positions to fill as you see fit. We expect you are hiring 2 or 3 more the following year.  

Code Climate operates in a very technology + developer-heavy space. You'll enjoy this role if you've ever coded or worked closely with developer teams before. You are a talented and aspiring designer, creator, and builder. You solve other people's product problems in your head all day. It helps if you have done this at any scale before.

You will be directly responsible for creating a resilient product that helps large companies deliver better software faster. You'll be getting your hands dirty in the beginning setting the product and brand aesthetic. As you build your team of designers, UI + UXers, the role will grow into being the design practice leader and strategist at Code Climate. Think of it as a place to build the team you always wanted.
