The Global Risk Solutions (GRS) User Experience team strives to increase adoption and improve ease of use of our products to delight our customers by building a deep understanding of users' behaviors, needs and goals.
As a leader in the organization, the primary objectives are to collaborate with business and tech leadership on the definition of business vision, objectives, transformation plans, and opportunities for competitive advantage and develop and drive underwriting experience strategy to ensure we build products that provide measurable value, features ease of use, employ best-in-class interaction design, and optimize the user experience.

Responsibilities
Partners with tech and business leadership to develop and evolve target-state experience roadmaps. Discover global underwriting demands, features, capabilities and evaluate replacement of legacy tools. Validates underwriting and policy needs that drive value through discovery and conceptual design. Plans and oversees design tasks, design resourcing and guidance towards quality solutions, and promoting design consistency across platforms. Independently creates user experience and visual design solutions for the most complex cross functional work streams based on business objectives and user research. Proactively identifies the need for and initiates new, complex multi-step user flows that impact multiple functions using various design tools (e.g. experience and service design maps, journey maps, concepts, storyboards, wireframes and prototypes). Defines UX and brand standards in the execution of visual, interaction and motion design. Approves new standards as needed and acts as a thought leader for evolving pattern library. Independently leads the objective-setting and discovery process, including user persona development and interpreting user goals. Collaborates with the Research Team to design and execute a variety of user research activities. Builds commitment to project, negotiates compromises and resolves conflicts. Synthesizes and broadly communicates results of user research, concept testing, usability testing and quantitative analysis to make highly complex and technical design recommendations with broad impact. Acts as an advocate for the end user across multiple cross-functional teams. Works collaboratively by sharing designs early and often, seeking constructive feedback and integrating feedback to improve solutions. Offers guidance and provides constructive feedback to other team members. Helps team members develop, strengthen and align their ideas with business and customer goals. Promotes environment of continuous improvement by introducing new practices and influencing team members to try new methods.
Qualifications

  • As typically acquired through a Bachelor`s degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years of experience in a related field: Expertise in methodologies such as Agile, Design Thinking, Lean UX, and Lean Startup
  • Familiarity with the following core disciplines, with demonstrated mastery in at least two and expertise in two others: visual design, UX design, prototyping, front-end development, user research and/or experiment design
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills (comfortable in interacting with all levels of the company)
  • Proven ability to create alignment among senior management on ideas/projects/process
  • Strong organization and analytic thinking skills, with ability to translate highly complex and technical content into user scenarios, flows and diagrams
  • Proven track record of collaborating effectively at all levels of the organization
