Senior Content Designer
We are actively seeking an energetic and innovative Senior Content Designer to join our group. JPMorgan Chase is transforming the future of wealth management by incorporating strong product and design disciplines along with emerging technologies into the products and services we create.
We develop and refine the tools that are essential for helping our clients grow, maintain and make their money work smarter so they can reach their financial goals, while adding minimal complexity to their already busy lives. To do our job well, we utilize user-centered techniques to help us break through the industry jargon and bureaucracy and find insights that others can't. We elevate UX not just to solve users' problems but also to use design to steer the product's evolution into a powerful and extensible framework.
Posting description
As a Senior Content Designer , you will leverage your deep understanding of content strategy and UX writing for high-priority digital wealth management products focused on advisor-client experiences. You'll be at the forefront of our efforts and be directly responsible for decisions that form our product experiences. This is a hands-on UX writer role. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team that includes researchers, product designers, content designers, product managers, engineers, and business partners who share your passion for delivering unique and innovative financial digital products and services of all kinds, including trading and advice platforms. This role is based in New York.
Job responsibilities

  • Partner with senior strategists and other partners to understand and execute strategic vision for assigned projects
  • Contribute to the success of the larger digital content team, partnering with team members and leadership to deliver best-in-class content for our digital products
  • Participate in conversations around voice and tone and content strategy within their area of focus (advisor-client experiences), backed by a solid understanding of business and product goals
  • Contribute to larger conversations within the content team to help explore and define ongoing vision for content as a whole
  • Partner with content leadership, analysts and developers to review, understand and deliver content in line with strategic voice and tone as well as project strategy and business goals
  • Help take content through multi-step governance process, including legal reviews, and any necessary revisions
  • Document content and approvals according to established processes


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • You have a bachelor's degree, preferably in English, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising or other communications-related field
  • You have three or more years of experience delivering results in drafting UX/digital content and/or content strategy
  • You have at least five years of experience writing and editing customer-facing content for the digital space
  • You're passionate about user experience design thinking, UX best practices, storyteller who knows how to create clear, concise and engaging content that adheres to documented standards for copy
  • You're a proactive, solutions-oriented problem solver with a knack for simplifying the complex and excited by new challenges and energized by working in a collaborative, team-based environment
  • You're interested in learning more about the world of wealth management and c omfortable working in a dynamic, highly-regulated environment.
  • You enjoy working in cross-functional teams, interacting with designers, researchers, usability specialists, product managers, legal and compliance experts and line-of-business owners


Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Contribute to and ensure quality execution of content strategy for projects and initiatives in their area of focus (advisor-client experiences)
  • Partner with direct manager and other partners to identify areas of opportunity within their area of focus, including process improvements, etc.
  • Create strong relationships with partners outside content to help create awareness of and solutions for any roadblocks and help promote overall success
  • You are very comfortable working in PPT and Excel - Figma, JIRA and Confluence a plus
