We’re looking for an experienced (Sr) User Researcher to join our User Research team here at Snappy. The User Researcher will work to build one of the best gifting platforms on the planet (and we’re well on our way) and help Snappy better understand our customers. This role will help us learn about our current and potential customers, how to bring their needs to existing and new product initiatives, identify opportunities for the product roadmap, and validate design concepts.

You will:

  • Drive and implement user research initiatives and methodology for the Consumer team to influence product direction and design
  • Plan and execute pragmatic and insightful user research, including customer interviews, usability testing, focus groups, surveys
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis and present your findings in a clear, concise and compelling manner to stakeholders
  • Effectively collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Marketing, Data to deliver actionable insights 
  • Help build and maintain systems/platforms (e.g. repository, backlog, participant database) to help our research team stay efficient and productive
  • Partner with Research Manager to build a world class user research team and function

You are:

  • Backed by 4+ years of research experience with a BA, MS, or PhD in social sciences, HCI, psychology, UX or equivalent field
  • Backed by a track record of applied research that had a significant impact on product and/or company goals
  • Experienced with a wide range of evaluative and generative research methods: ethnography, participatory design, diary studies, usability testing or in-depth interviews
  • A star when it comes to product intuition and you have an eye for UI/UX design experience, with a desire to discover and fulfill the needs of our customers
  • Able to drive consensus and buy-in especially from various groups and stakeholders through exceptional communication/presentation skills
  • Insatiably curious and driven to build exceptional products for the right users
  • A respectful, collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills 
  • Self-motivated + scrappy, willing to tackle multiple projects and juggle ever-changing requirements
