THE ROLE

We are looking to hire a UX/UI Designer to join our growing Digital Product team. Reporting into the Director of Digital Product, this person would be in charge of establishing functional workflows for digital product and conducting UX research and design. This person needs to be comfortable creating beautiful work that balances the needs of the user while optimizing for key business metrics like conversion and retention.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Design the Mack Weldon user experience across web and mobile
• Create exceptional user-centered designs through consideration of market research, business requirements, customer feedback, and usability study findings
• Design the Mack Weldon user experience across website and mobile and work with an external team of 4 UI engineers and 2 UX designers
• Quickly and thoroughly create diagrams, wireframes, detailed visual mockups and prototypes to communicate high-level design strategies and detailed interaction behaviors. (Generate concepts from sketches to wireframes to hi-fi mocks)
• Produce usable, intuitive, and delightful interfaces for our customers
• Plan and run user tests and other design research to inform decision choices
• Collaborate with the creative and digital product team to evolve and refine our design culture, system, and workflow
• Quickly and thoroughly create diagrams, wireframes, detailed visual mockups and prototypes to communicate high-level design strategies and detailed interaction behaviors. (Generate concepts from sketches to wireframes to hi-fi mocks )
• Work with the engineering team to iterate, polish and ship digital product enhancements and new features

WHO YOU ARE

• 5+ years experience as a UX and/or UI Designer with eCommerce experience required
• Bachelor's Degree
• Proven knowledge of user-centered design principles and best practices
• Highly proficient with Design tools (Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch)
• A portfolio of personal or professional projects, including projects over which you had total creative control
• An excellent foundation in visual design, including typography, color, and composition
• Ability to follow brand guidelines, but know when to change them or break them
• Driven, able to adapt and grow in a fast-paced startup environment
• Experience designing products for growth (e.g., conversion optimization, A/B testing) is a plus

• Salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 *This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this NYC - based position. The base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience and qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other MW employees.
