Visual Designer
About the role:
It is an exciting time at ActionIQ as we are growing beyond expectation. We are looking for a Visual Designer to join our Design team in NYC. Visual designers are the owner of our visual language and in charge of evolving brand expression to the next level. In this role, you will drive the AIQ creative vision and play an integral role in developing and delivering our brand identity at scale.
About the team:
At ActionIQ, design is central to many things that we do. Our first designer was amongst the first five employees at the company, and design thinking is a part of our culture. Day to day we research, ideate, iterate, and make designs that drive outcomes. We work with multidisciplinary teams and strive to be inclusive.

One year from now you will:
- Have ownership of ActionIQ’s visual design language, ensuring the consistency of our visual language in a systematic approach.
- Articulated the creative vision for the brand across marketing, product and other functional areas.
- Expanded the website brand design with our new messaging.
- Aspired creative excellence and empowered others to do the same.
- Enjoyed participating in hackathons and design jams!
Responsibilities:
- Craft unique designs across a broad range of media including web, video, print, communication & presentation design
- Collaborate with stakeholders and design team to create the right balance between functional clarity and emotional impact;
- Explore multiple creative design directions to create visual designs that inspire confidence and feel human.
- Present design directions to internal and external stakeholders to ensure creative quality from start to finish and project success.
- Support a growing content marketing team with day to day activities.
- Plan, prioritize, and deliver visual design activities autonomously, in the context of interdisciplinary projects.
Requirements
Background:
- University Degree within the field of Visual Design
- At least 3 years of brand design experience (agency/client)
- Previous experience working on Enterprise brands is a plus
Skills:
- Proven record of functional, scalable and impactful design across all platforms (social, web, content, animation)
- Be thorough in your design work and have an expert knowledge of design tools, principles and methodologies.
- Confident presentation and storytelling abilities
- Function both independently and collaboratively and are able to manage multiple work streams.
- Possess a strong understanding of data and creative testing frameworks.
- Demonstrated willingness to continuously learn and challenge the status quo
