About rag & bone:

From our origins in New York in 2002, rag & bone was founded on a belief of uncompromising ideals: a commitment to doing things the right way, not the easy way. To making things that are as original as they are timeless. To being true to ourselves, even when that truth sets us apart from the mainstream.

We still believe in the same principles we started with: the easy elegance of classic British tailoring, the authenticity of American workwear, and the originality of our home city, New York. As New Yorkers, community and authenticity have become synonymous with our brand. An inclusive environment at rag & bone upholds our original values by encouraging employee connection and empowering each individual to have a voice on policy, process, and collaboration for a more equitable future.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and creatively driven Men’s Design Assistant to support the Men’s White Label design team. This entry-level role is ideal for a design-forward thinker early in their career who is excited by product creation, visual storytelling, and the fast-paced design environment. The White Label Design Assistant will collaborate closely with the design team to bring concepts to life across cut-and-sewn knits, wovens, and denim, supporting the process from ideation through production while maintaining brand consistency and quality.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Men’s White Label design team throughout the seasonal design process
  • Contribute to seasonal concepting through trend research, market analysis, and competitive shopping
  • Create and update technical sketches and flats using Adobe Illustrator
  • Utilize AI-driven fashion design and rendering tools (e.g., Blackberry, Bowser) to support visualization and creative exploration
  • Assist with fabric, trim, and color organization, maintaining physical and digital design libraries
  • Prepare polished design decks and presentations for internal reviews
  • Support fittings by taking detailed notes, tracking feedback, and updating design revisions
  • Collaborate with product development and technical teams to ensure design intent is clearly communicated
  • Maintain organization of samples, design files, and seasonal archives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field
  • 0–2 years of experience (internships and entry-level experience welcomed)
  • Strong interest in men’s fashion (from vintage to high-end fashion)
  • Foundational understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and fit
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator; working knowledge of Photoshop
  • Ability to multitask, take direction, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Curious, proactive mindset with a desire to learn and grow creatively
Preferred Skills
  • Strong visual sensibility and creative problem-solving skills
  • Interest in AI-assisted design tools and emerging fashion technology
  • Passion for trend research, product storytelling, and design innovation
