As a member of the Brand Maker Studio team, you will be instrumental in building our brands, and crafting best-in-class marketing materials for a wide range of audiences that help celebrate our latest products, features and company developments.

We’re looking for a Designer to join Brand Maker Studio at Snap Inc.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop, define and implement our brand guidelines and design systems across our portfolio of brands.

  • Ideate and execute new creative ways to visually communicate new products, features and company developments to the world.

  • Deliver high-craft design work on multiple projects simultaneously, while being accountable for timelines and showing progress.

  • Support internal teams in the development and execution of high priority design and creative projects from start to finish.

  • Help to elevate and raise the quality of design craft across all aspects of our portfolio of brands.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience building, maintaining and implementing cohesive brand systems, including typography, UI, layout, illustration, iconography, and motion systems, with a high level of craft, attention to detail, and consistency across a wide range of touchpoints.

  • Ability to think conceptually and transition creative ideas into thoughtful and well crafted design work that ensure brand consistency, clarity, and effectiveness across our portfolio of brands.

  • Effectively sell through design work in compelling and effective ways to cross functional teams and stakeholders, including non-designers.

  • Be highly curious and passionate about exploring new creative formats and ways of creative execution that help drive our brand identities.

  • Manage ambiguity in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to make quick, high-quality decisions based on evolving project needs and creative goals.

  • Work in a clear and thoughtful manner and be able to articulate the strategic thinking behind your creative process.

  • Have a deep understanding of design, branding and marketing processes.

  • Thrive in a collaborative environment, but can also work autonomously with strong time management skills.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of experience working in design

  • Hands-on creative with demonstrable experience working as a designer (in-house, freelance or agency)

  • Highly proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Keynote, and Google Slides

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Personal multi year experience as a Snapchat user

  • Experience working with hardware and product design teams to bring your work to life

  • Experience working with emerging technologies such as AR/VR and AI

  • Specific expertise in After Effects and motion graphics.

  • Experience working in a Google Docs lead project environment is a plus

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):

The base salary range for this position is $130,000-$196,000 annually.


 

Zone B:

The base salary range for this position is $124,000-$186,000 annually.

Zone C:

The base salary range for this position is $111,000-$167,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
