About the role

We're seeking a world-class designer to join our team in shaping what Liquid will look like for the next generation of traders. We expect an in-person, 5 days/wk designer that will work closely with product and engineers to deliver.

Responsibilities

• Contribute perspective gained from experience to design end-to-end experiences across web, mobile, and other platforms

• Deeply understanding user necessities, behaviors, and emergent use-cases

• Rapidly exploring, prototyping, and iterating by using AI-assisted tools

• Using qualitative methods to define and guide decisions

• Creating mock-ups, user interfaces, promotional materials, or brand assets

Qualifications

We do not believe that prowess is correlated to age, or previous experience.

• You are comfortable working in rapid work environments

• Embrace new design and engineering workflows including AI-assisted tooling

• Care about the minute details while maintaining velocity

• Have an interest in redefining systems for any audience

What we prefer

• A strong portfolio that can demonstrate your work just from the first page

  • Our product, design, and engineering team will review each one.

• Experience designing consumer-facing products at scale

• Familiarity with React, Swift, and React Native (subject to change) AND Figma, but not negatively considered if without

• Experience working closely with users, engineers alike

• Pride themselves on delivering results swiftly, often faster than their peers; we ship extremely fast here, and with that we must all maintain velocity

• An eye for product sense, with an ability to empathize with users, anticipate what they actually need, and translate that into features that deliver actual value

Our interview process

We do not believe in traditional interview processes, and a practical experience is better for us to gauge your experience.

Work trials are paid generously and we may fly you out to New York City to integrate with the team and the office.

Compensation and benefits

$180,000 – $360,000 USD

Base salary is not only one of our total compensation package at Liquid, which also includes equity, comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, wellness benefits, transportation to-and-from office, off-sites, and fully compensated lunch and dinner.
