About the role

  • The Business Analyst supports requirements intake, analysis, and refinement for customer digital application and web platform initiatives. This role works closely with government stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to translate needs into actionable requirements, manage Agile workflows within Azure DevOps, support post deployment validation, and ensure technical solutions align with customer mission and strategic direction. 

What you'll do

  • Manage the intake of new requirements via customer ITSM processes and Azure DevOps request channels.  
  • Conduct stakeholder discussions to clarify needs, identify solution approaches, and document business and functional requirements.  
  • Translate stakeholder inputs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and sprintready backlog items.  
  • Facilitate LOE estimation sessions with development teams using story points or equivalent Agile metrics.  
  • Maintain and refine the product backlog to support sprint prioritization, sequencing, and capacity alignment.  
  • Track sprint progress, risks, dependencies, and issues using Azure DevOps Boards.  
  • Support post deployment testing by validating delivered functionality, confirming acceptance criteria, documenting issues, and coordinating remediation.  
  • Support Change Control Board (CCB) procedures by drafting change requests, capturing impacts, and tracking approvals.  
  • Maintain clear documentation of requirements, decisions, risks, issues, and follow-up actions.  
  • Assist the government with assessing solution feasibility and identifying process or system improvement opportunities.  
  • Prepare recurring and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and status updates for government leadership.  
  • Apply an AIaware mindset by identifying opportunities where AIenabled capabilities may enhance workflows, analytics, or customer experience, consistent with customer policy and approved toolsets 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience  
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting IT, digital services, or software development efforts  
  • Experience gathering and documenting requirements from diverse stakeholders  
  • Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and process/workflow documentation  
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery practices and sprint-based execution  
  • Experience using Azure DevOps Boards for backlog and sprint management  
  • Experience supporting post deployment validation or UAT testing cycles  
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and requirements clarification skills  
  • Ability to identify workflow gaps, propose process improvements, and support change adoption  
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate possible solution paths, including AIenabled enhancements 
  • CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent IAT Level II certification under DoD 8140, (CCNA Security, GSEC, CSA+/CySA+, SSCP) 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting federal IT programs or SETAstyle advisory functions  
  • Certifications such as:  
  • Agile/Scrum certifications (CSM, CSPO, SAFe, etc.) 
  • Business analysis certifications (CBAP, ECBA, PMIPBA)
