Your Role

As a Digital Experience Strategy Lead at Gensler, you will shape the future of experiential design by driving strategic growth, elevating project excellence, and developing the next generation of creative talent. You’ll help define how our Northeast Region competes and leads in digital experience design, partnering closely with studio and regional leadership to expand capabilities, strengthen client relationships, and deliver innovative, narrative-driven experiences.

This role blends strategic thinking, creative leadership, and hands-on project delivery. You’ll influence how we position DXD in the market, refine our go-to-market strategies, and scale our lab culture and prototyping capabilities. You’ll also serve as a mentor and industry voice, helping grow our team and represent Gensler externally.

What You Will Do

  • Define and refine go-to-market strategies aligned with regional and firmwide priorities.
  • Expand experience prototyping capabilities in the Northeast and support scaling across the Practice Area.
  • Research and present market trends to strengthen competitive positioning.
  • Leverage client and partner networks to bring new opportunities to the Practice Area.
  • Assess studio capabilities and identify opportunities to expand creative offerings.
  • Build partnerships across studios and leadership communities.
  • Shape hiring and upskilling priorities by identifying skill gaps and capability needs.
  • Lead flagship DXD projects from concept through delivery, maintaining emotional and narrative intent.
  • Strengthen design integration during early concept and schematic design phases.
  • Enhance program management approaches to de-risk projects and scale delivery standards.
  • Drive innovation culture through new tools and methods for ideation, storytelling, and presentation.
  • Serve as a senior creative partner to key clients, aligning creative output with business strategy.
  • Maintain a strong POV on emerging trends in experience and technology.
  • Recruit, mentor, and grow talent across interactive technology, UX/UI, and content strategy.
  • Represent Gensler publicly through speaking engagements, panels, and industry events.
  • Develop a preferred partner ecosystem across vendors, integrators, and fabricators.
  • Coach designers, strategists, and technologists to develop future creative leaders.

Your Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in digital experience design, strategy, or related fields
  • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary creative teams
  • Strong understanding of emerging experience technologies and industry trends
  • Demonstrated ability to develop go-to-market strategies and drive business growth
  • Experience managing flagship creative or experiential projects
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
  • Ability to build strong client relationships and serve as a strategic advisor
  • Experience mentoring and developing creative talent
  • Ability to collaborate across studios, regions, and practice areas

**The base salary range will be estimated between $215,000 to $240,000. Gensler’s total compensation package is multi-layered and includes a base salary, two annual bonuses paid in December and June.
