POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a well-rounded digital marketer, who thrives at wearing many hats, to join our dedicated team in online travel publishing.  If you are excited by the fast pace of online marketing, have an entrepreneurial mindset and a natural curiosity to seek out and test new marketing channels and solutions, you could be the right candidate.  Experience in the field of online media, with an understanding of how different media channels work and complement each other, is a big advantage.

Reporting to our Director of Email, CRM, and Retention, the Digital Marketing Manager will bring an innate ability to excel across marketing functions, which include: performance marketing, email marketing, customer acquisition, content distribution, social, affiliate marketing, promotional partnerships, integrated sales marketing, and display advertising.

The DMM is responsible for planning, creating, and managing marketing campaigns across different platforms – coordinating with external partners and internal stakeholders to ensure the delivery and optimal performance of marketing campaigns.  This person is charged with driving the success of marketing programs for our own audience initiatives, as well as those of our client partners, applying an analytical mindset and first-rate skills in utilizing and leveraging our first-party data to deliver optimal performance.  While high-level strategies are greatly valued, hands-on tactical execution is critical.

The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of various digital marketing channels (display, email, search, social, SMS) with first-hand experience in analytics platforms and campaign and data management tools.

As a marketer with creative intuition, the Digital Marketing Manager will bring the know-how to oversee the creative positioning of our content, products, and services across all of ST’s platforms – developing sales collateral (presentations and one-sheets) and campaign wrap reports to most effectively facilitate our sales and account management efforts.

Additionally, this person will spearhead audience growth promotions through partnerships with other publishers and ecommerce brands.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Manage various marketing initiatives across channels and platforms aligned to company business objectives, key brand franchises, and client campaigns
  • Become an authority on our first-party data
  • Develop and execute marketing initiatives to grow custom audiences, service clients, support the sales team, inform content creation, and increase revenues
  • Build campaigns that target a variety of client KPIs (including brand awareness, purchase intent, and lead gen), while achieving our own audience metrics
  • Work cross-functionally with team to provide marketing execution and support aligned with ever-changing business needs
  • Interface directly with clients (travel marketers, agencies), as well as publisher partners
  • Leverage data insights to tell campaign success stories
  • Partner with sales on marketing collateral, presentations, and proposals
  • Build individual brand equity for each of ST’s platforms and franchises
  • Liaise with editorial to align content with marketing initiatives and needs
  • Support core email marketing functions: campaign management, email production, audience selection, QA, and deployment
  • Own partnership marketing, which includes partner outreach, prize procurement, and program marketing and management; achieve quarterly audience growth goals
  • Leverage social platforms and SMS to grow core audience, expand user outreach, and drive engagement

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • At least three (3+) years’ experience in digital marketing roles
  • Solid communicator with a strong sense of ownership — be able to articulate what is required to achieve marketing success and not shy away from making recommendations
  • Analytical mindset and skills — be comfortable with analytics tools, standard KPI’s, campaign reporting, and identifying trends
  • Innovate thinker — flawlessly execute predefined tasks, but also think objectively and creatively on how to achieve business (and personal) success
  • Hands-on experience with analytics and reporting tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, PowerBI or other data visualization software)
  • Familiarity and experience with a variety of SaaS marketing platforms (CRM, ESP, Multichannel Marketing Hub)
  • Experience with audience and data management tools (DMP, CDP) is a plus
  • Skilled at creating PowerPoint presentations, with a good eye for general design
  • Solutions-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks aligned to timely requests
  • Enjoy working in a collaborative environment, with a curious, can-do attitude
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Working knowledge of HTML
  • Social and SMS marketing knowledge
  • Experience optimizing performance of advertising campaigns
  • Editorial or design experience a plus, but not required
  • Solid writing and verbal communication skills are a must
  • Deep understanding of audience acquisition channels
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience launching new digital marketing channels highly desired
