Job Description

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring for a Digital Marketing Specialist to be a key part of our Marketing team in New York, NY or La Vergne, TN.

Initiates and manages from conception through execution marketing campaigns that generate consumer demand and improve print and ebook sales. Continually optimizes digital marketing and advertising campaigns to reach consumer audiences, with special focus on paid and organic search engine marketing as well as retail, display, and social advertising. Supports content calendar and social media channels for select consumer facing brands. Analyzes and interprets campaign and sales data to evaluate strategy, test new tactics, discover new audiences, validate potential opportunities, and determine ROI.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or year for year directly related experience
  • Minimum of 3 years related marketing experience to include 1 year of digital marketing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Recent experience directly executing ads in Meta, TikTok Shop Amazon, and Google. (Experience with additional platforms preferred.)
  • Multi-channel advertising.
  • Experience in book publishing, agency, or related environment highly desirable
  • Knowledge of marketing, advertising, and analytics tools and technologies, including leading search, social, and retail ad platforms, SEO/SEM tools, Google Analytics, Excel, etc. (or demonstrated ability to learn similar tools quickly)
  • Knowledge of or familiarity with tools for content creation and management, including blog  platforms, image creation software, social media dashboards, and similar
  • Skilled in digital advertising and marketing best practices, including audience targeting and segmentation, ad testing and A/B splits, campaign optimization, and analytics and attribution reporting.
  • Familiarity with ecommerce sales and/or selling on Amazon a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conceives, plans, and manages book marketing campaigns that drive traffic and conversions at retail sites for Ingram Marketing Advantage (IMA) clients and others as relevant.
  • Collaborates with marketing manager and client relations manager to ensure campaign strategies support overall business and client goals.
  • Understands SEO within general search and retail environments (Amazon and Google) and executes search campaigns to increase reach and support other organic and paid efforts.
  • Contributes blog content, social media posts, and other content marketing as needed to support consumer-facing brands, generate organic awareness and traffic, and drive sales for promoted books. Creates and manages additional paid social, retail, and display advertising campaigns including campaign setup and ongoing optimization.
  • Creates or acquires creative for advertising and social campaigns that reflect client and book branding and branding of Ingram consumer websites when appropriate, including copy and imagery.
  • Understands and investigates consumer buying behaviors and tailors campaigns, activation channels, messages and creative to target audiences.
  • Coordinates with clients, partners, and internal teams on strategy and creative execution when relevant.
  • Independently measures and reports on the performance of marketing campaigns; evaluates against key performance metrics and adjusts campaigns to improve performance when necessary.
  • Provides regular updates on status of marketing projects and initiatives through business development meetings, client reports, and presentations.
  • Uses internal and external tools and systems to execute marketing initiatives, launch and monitor campaigns, identify business opportunities, provide reporting, and evaluate relevant data.
  • Oversees project timing and budgets, on select projects, working with manager on approvals.
  • Assists marketing team with brainstorming; identifies and proposes new and better ways of connecting with audiences and meeting tactical goals.
  • Works with relevant stakeholders to generate reporting that tracks campaign and sales performance.
  • Assists with book metadata optimization workflows and collaborates with metadata optimization and discoverability on special projects and as needed to refine and improve processes.

Hiring Salary Range: $ 78.265k - $98,958k This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to:  the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
