The Role

The NWSL Content team is seeking a talented Video Editor with a keen eye for creative social content and compelling storytelling. This role requires a strong passion for women's soccer, hands-on experience pitching and producing social video content, and a proven ability to craft engaging short-form narratives in a fast-paced environment.

Working closely with the broader Marketing team, you will help celebrate and elevate the most impactful stories across the League, Clubs, and Players—both on and off the pitch.









What You Will Own, Drive & Contribute To
  • Digital Video Editing: Edit engaging video content for distribution across NWSL digital platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, and NWSLSoccer.com.
  • Sponsored Content: Produce and edit a high volume of sponsored video content on weekly deadlines and tight turnarounds.
  • Rapid Turnaround Projects: Concept, edit, and publish weekly dynamic video content to capture timely moments and league storylines.
  • Collaborative Creation: Partner closely with the Content team to brainstorm, craft, and execute compelling video concepts.
  • Asset Management & Archiving: Subclip weekly footage and assist the Content team with organizing and archiving projects and raw video assets.
  • Matchday Coverage: Maintain availability for matchnight coverage and real-time content needs throughout the season.









What You Will BringCore Qualifications
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience producing and editing high-engagement digital video content (soccer experience preferred).
  • Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Suite; Light proficiency in After Effects or motion graphics preferred
  • Social Expertise: Strong understanding of social video formats, storytelling techniques, and optimizing for platform-specific best practices.
  • Rights & Clearances: General knowledge of music, licensing, and footage clearance processes.
  • Agility & Feedback: Comfort receiving and implementing editorial feedback efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Portfolio: A link to a video editing reel or portfolio showcasing relevant work is required.
  • Agility & Independence: Thrives operating autonomously in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
