Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all general accounting functions for the PI Team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Support quarterly and annual financial audits, including preparation of audit schedules, documentation, and responses to auditor inquiries.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support SEC filings, ensuring compliance with all relevant reporting standards.
- Assess current accounting practices and processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement best-in-class controls and automation initiatives.
- Oversee the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP.
- Lead or contribute to special projects, process redesign initiatives, and ad hoc financial analyses as directed by the Controller Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, providing performance feedback, setting clear goals, and fostering professional growth.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely year-end closing and reporting.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of internal controls, risk management initiatives, and SOX compliance documentation.
- Act as a key liaison between Accounting, FP&A, HR, Operations, and Technology teams to support cross-functional financial initiatives.
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
Experience:
Minimum 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3–5 years in a management or director-level role.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and SOX compliance.
Experience supporting or preparing SEC filings preferred.
Prior experience managing audits and working with external auditors.
Demonstrated experience overseeing and maintaining an ERP system—Workday Financials experience strongly preferred.
Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing accounting teams.
Experience in a publicly traded company or high-growth organization preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting and financial reporting systems (Workday required; NetSuite or SAP a plus).
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across departments.
Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and commitment to ethical business practices.
