Job Description:

The Director of Media Analytics is responsible for leading a team of analysts and developing data-driven reports and strategic recommendations for the upper-funnel media buys on M365 Copilot. The ideal candidate must be able to understand the complex language of data, including ad tech. A critical component of this position is being able to confidently present results and insights so senior marketing and analytics clients can make smart data driven decisions. The Director will also be a stickler for process as this role is ultimately responsible for internal team coordination, quality assurance and final approval of key client reports and data-driven deliverables.

This role includes team leadership, project management, storytelling, insights and analytics solution development. The right candidate will be intellectually curious, highly proactive, thrive in a fast-paced work environment, and enjoy working closely across various departments (i.e., Activation, Planning, Data & Tech, AdTech, Data Science).

Responsibilities

  • Managing a team of analysts, which includes overseeing and working on analytics projects alongside the team, across all levels and parts of the business, and maintain a balanced workload across all team members

  • Create and lead a culture of data-informed decision-making

  • Cultivate relationships with senior leaders within the organization and across external agencies and client teams

  • Consult with clients and internal teams on projects requiring performance evaluation

  • Participate in the identification of personnel performance issues and provide support to ensure best efforts are made to rectify

  • Understand and manage both regular deliverables and high-level, strategic projects for internal and external clients with tight turn-around times and attention to detail

  • Act as a thought-leader in the analytics and media spaces, in meetings and on projects

  • Be skilled at executive level communications that address strategic and operational concerns

  • Lead the development of tools, methodologies, solutions, and approaches that can be leveraged across the organization

  • Act as the primary interface with clients and internal management at the executive level, and manage overall expectations as part of a long-term strategic relationship

  • Be viewed as a trusted advisor by clients and internal teams

Required Skills / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required and 10+ years of experience in digital media/marketing field with a minimum of 4 years of experience in digital analytics, preferably in an enterprise-level organization

  • Advanced knowledge of media analytics principles and experience with major analytics solutions and dashboard/data visualization tools (Power BI experience preferred)

  • Experience with upper-funnel media measurement and reporting

  • Understanding of the analytics process, and the ability to turn data into meaningful insights

  • Strategic thought and the ability to be a skilled public speaker and presenter in an influential and inspirational way

  • Proactive problem solver for stakeholders (internal and external)

  • Attention to detail and understanding of the complex interdependency of processes and relationships

  • Highly effective and impactful written communication skills

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience in working with various departments to understand client priorities and overall strategic considerations

  • Ability to stay ahead of emerging technologies, as well as industry and regulatory changes that could have an impact on metrics/measurement

Employees who live within a commutable distance of one of our hub offices, currently located in Chicago, metro Detroit, Los Angeles, and New York City, are required and expected to work from the office three days per week (two days per week for employees based in Los Angeles). Dentsu may designate other Hub offices at any time. Those who live outside a commutable range may be designated as remote, depending on the role and business needs. Regardless of your work location, we expect our employees to be flexible to meet the needs of our Company and clients, which may include attendance in an office.

The annual salary range for this position is $119,000-$198,500. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
