Who are we hiring?

The Director, B2B Marketing and Events will lead the development and execution of Sphere’s B2B event marketing portfolio, as well as marketing initiatives which deliver world-class experiences that elevate our brand, engage potential clients, and support key business development objectives. This role will drive business growth of sales for ad sales & sponsorships, groups ticketing, group events, private experiences and corporate/venue buyouts. This individual will support the defined business goals for each B2B event or event series, inclusive of trade shows, conferences, and on-site prospecting events at Sphere locations, leading execution from concept through post-event analysis.

This role requires a unique blend of strategic foresight, creative thinking, operational excellence, and executive-level communication. As a senior member of the Marketing team, you’ll collaborate across the organization and with external partners to ensure that every B2B marketing event is aligned with our business priorities and brand values — and executed with precision. This role will report to the SVP Marketing for Sphere Entertainment.

 What will you do?

  • Develop and implement B2B marketing strategies to drive corporate/venue buyouts, private and group event bookings, and advertising and sponsorship prospects for Sphere.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize relevant events, conferences, conventions, sponsorships, and awards programs against our B2B marketing strategy to maximize impact. Partner with B2B sales teams to execute to increase and improve our exposure to key clients.
  • Align with internal stakeholders on the vision and strategy for Sphere's B2B event marketing portfolio — aligning external-facing event experiences with company goals, audience needs, and brand positioning.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (Brand, Customer Marketing, Sales, Sponsorships, Communications, and others) to translate business goals into event objectives, experience design, audience targeting and ROI measurement.
  • Lead all phases of external event delivery — from initial concept through on-site execution and post-event reporting — ensuring timelines and budgets are met while optimizing for impact and attendee experience.
  • Own and manage relationships with executive stakeholders — ensuring alignment, setting expectations, and delivering ongoing communications and updates.
  • Oversee vendor selection, negotiation, and management across all production elements, including venues, A/V, security, catering, decor, and staffing.
  • Build scalable processes and toolkits for B2B event planning and execution, enabling efficiency, consistency, innovation, and measurement of event performance.
  • Coordinate logistics for Sphere presence at external events and conferences, including but not limited to securing meeting locations, access passes, hospitality, and overseeing setup of booths or other installations.

What do you need to succeed?

  • 10+ years of experience in event marketing, experiential marketing, or B2B strategic marketing roles — with a track record of leading high-impact events from strategy to execution.
  • Experience in entertainment, tech, or consumer brands with premium event executions preferred; large, matrixed organization experience a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field.
  • Proven success in developing and executing B2B marketing and event strategies that drive revenue growth and tie to broader business goals.
  • Curious, proactive, and passionate about the evolving landscape of events and experiences.
  • Executive presence with strong verbal and written communication skills; able to present ideas clearly and build credibility with senior stakeholders.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling, experience design, and audience engagement.
  • Expert project manager with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a bias for action.
  • Adaptable and resilient — thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments and brings a solution-oriented mindset to challenges.
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and external partners.

Special Requirements

  • Ability to work irregular schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) in preparing for and during events.
  • Some travel may be required.
